We're not in a position to operate like those clubs though. When they sell, they already have the replacement in place. That level of joined-up thinking has evaded Everton for a long time.Anything 50m or beyond would be very good money.
Would be sad to see him go as he’s been a breath of fresh air and forever tied to the club’s history, but we can’t look longingly at the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton while still being too scared to operate as they do.
