The debate such as it is tensds to be about how many games Holgate should get a ban...and others "defendng him" by saying he just misheard Firmino.

It's unreal.

He was called the very worst name a black kid can be called by a racist scumbag but no one is considering that minor detail any more.

The Kopites are masters at turning tables on their accusers.

This club of all clubs knows that and it's why the manager or someone else should have been right into the media supporting their own player and dragging the debate in one direction. If they had no one today would be talking about any one being 'misheard'.

Holgate shouldn't have shoved Firmino into the stands but I'd say racism is kind of worse.

His legacy should be that he was banned for racism and bit two players, one in a World Cup and one in the prem. instead the kopite media machine has painted a picture of this unbelievable player who won them the league challenge (no one mentions they didn’t win it). Should the title of this thread not be changed. To me it reads as fact as stated by The Guardian but is paraphrased from their report and is not totally accurate at the moment.

Be glad when this is sorted and hope that Holgate is getting the right support throughout irrespective of the final outcome. It can’t be easy to have done what he did nor live with being in the middle of storm you did not create (at all or intentionally).
