Hmm i honestly don't see what would upset people about this post. I just said what i believe to be true. Yet such an action shows that we must be able to forgive, in order to be able to move on.

Supposedly The Queen planned it all out herself.
But you wonder how much of the fine detail she actually did,I mean she'd have no idea of routes, one ways bus lanes etc...the practical stuff, tbh, neither would I.
More likely she gave general wishes, along the lines of somebody i knew...no fuss, no flowers - I hate waste and don't ffs play amazing grace...she was a church organist and had played it that many times she was sick of it.
So you'd get flunkeys giving her list ticks and poo-pooing some stuff.

My beef is Precident.
As I've said, back in the day when you'd have thought that sort of stuff, formality, doing the 'right thing', tradition etc. mattered much more. George VI was dead and buried in 9 days Wednesday to the following Friday.

Nah, this has snowflake virtue signalling wokery - from the Palace/Govt./Humphrey Appleby civil servants and PL all over it.

Faced huge opposition to do it but he did. Irish politics is now all about reconciliation and moving forwards together. McGuinness accepting the hand of the Queen was hugely symbolic.

If the DUP could now similarly accept to serve under the democratically largest party Sinn Fein then we can all move forward.
