When did they move mate? My post clearly said The Premiership and im fairly sure they play in Spain....................

Clearly you know nothing about football.

Off topic, but you've reminded me of a headline in the Daily Mail (which I don't buy, obviously, I read this on the net) earlier this year after some awards ceromony:

"The Best Players In The World (and Xavi)".

And some people have the nerve to suggest the Mail is toilet paper.

Hes a player, i think he will end up in the centre personally for me his outstanding attribute is his engine, i think he could provide some pace, mobility and penatration in the centre when he gets more consistent.

He reminds me a wee bit of Gareth Barry starting of, i certainly wouldnt be speaking in definites about a 19 year - old has great potential and will make a prem career.

This!

Clearly they're good enough for the prem, if you knew anything about football you'd have realised that. And they're small so there. :hay:

i think it is his size a little bit, i could see iniesta and xavi struggling in the epl if they're constantly muscled off the ball with 50 50 challenges, plus epl refs don't award fouls as much.

Unless you play for Liverpool or is a high star player in one of the top teams.:dodgy:

I think the comment on English refs is a decade out of date. These days, English refs give fouls for everything. It was pretty noticable in the big European games this season that the European games let the game flow much more.

Also, Barca seemed to do quite well against Chelsea and United this season. Fabregas seems to do OK, in spite of being on the small side, and he can't get in the Spain team ahead of those guys. Historically, guys like Zola have dominated the English league.

Basically, average players with small stature can't make it in the English league, but might survive in Spain, while bigger but average players with poor technical ability won't make it in Spain but might make a living in England (though the differences between the leagues are exaggerated a bit). But boss players are boss players, and Iniesta might actually be the best in the world these days (if were possible for a non-goalscorer to be given such a title).

Thing about Gosling, he seems to be a player without strengths or weaknesses. He scores a few goals, but not too many. He's not weak, but hardly Essien. He's neat on the ball, but not going to beat many. His passing is decent, but he doesn't play defence splitting passes. He's not slow, but not pacey either.

I just don't think that sort of youth becomes a top class player. Top class players excel in one area or another - while the big 4 do have the occasional "jack of all trades" player, it's somebody in the Darren Fletcher mould rather than a proper star.

Unless one area of his game improves immensely, I don't see how he could become a great player. Generally it's very rare for somebody to go from average at something to excellant (whereas it's easier to go from poor to decent).

By comparison, I see something in Rodwell. His first touch is better, he plays sharper one touch passing and he does it with a much bigger frame (and is therefore better in the tackle). He may not yet be much better than Gosling, but I think he has the potential to really excel, whereas Gosling looks more like a "he won't let you down" player.
