Gosling

I dont think he would at all, based on his and Osmans performances on the wing, id say ive been more impressed with Gosling. He does more and doesnt lie on the ground complaining. If he wasn't Moyes' bum boy he'd be out of here straight away.

I know he would.

Gosling gave one solid all round performance against Boro where I thought "yes, this lad could be decent". Other than that there isn't much there, in terms of all round performance.

I really do disagree, no hes not the most skillful or pacy, but he is still fairly good at both - he gets into great positions, tracks back, he just needs to sort out his composure, and maybe get stuck into the game abit more. It was his first season here, he can do alot more.

How about the fact that Dan started 5 games and scored 3 goals. I think they call that, "1 in 1.6 recurring".

The lad is only 19 mate.

He is, there's no doubting he will improve a bit aswell. That's only natural. He'll get better with experience.

My view is, he simply doesn't have the natural ability to be anything more than a decent Premier League player.

Osman is a technical god compared to Gosling, a far more talented footballer in most departments. And he's not even good enough for us, he also needs improving on.

I'm just being honest, that's what I see. He will never be a first choice for Everton as a midfielder. As a defender I don't know, I haven't seen him play there.

Well I agree a little with what your saying. Osmans main problem is his height and weight, hes way to lightweight to play CM in the premiership. Thats mainly why we stick him on the wing out the way.

Gosling has a bit more fight and pace, but he clearly doesnt have the techincal talent that Osman does. If we could merge them together we would have a very talented player.

Osman played centre midfield for the majority of 07/08.

We finished 5th and did well in the Uefa cup, he was one of our better players. He's not too lightweight to play centre midfield, he's just not as good as Mikel Arteta. That's the reason he was moved outwide.

I've not seen much of Gosling, but I would like to note for the record that Ossie is one of our most skillful players. At this time, he is way ahead of Gosling. Sometimes the rough and tumble of the PL can have a bad effect on Ossie's game, but you can never rule Ossie out from a piece of magic. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Ossie could be wonderful in a less physical, European league.

Corrected that for you.

And you could never rule VDM out from a piece of magic, but he didnt play. He may be skillful, but does he use it? No, i hardly ever see him beat a man and then do something useful with the ball. Normally beat one man - lose it on the next.
