Fetterman may have mush for brains now but he was a top tier candidate at the start.

Walker is an absolute dumpster fire. There are so many reasons he should have been disqualified as a candidate.

Fetterman was Lt. Governor of the freaking state of PA. He's actually accomplished things as a politician. His stroke was literally three days before the primary. Now, we can sit here and Monday morning quarterback whether the Dems should have replaced him with Lamb over the summer - I don't even know how that would work. But the fact remains that Fetterman blew out Lamb, so it's not like he wasn't already a popular Dem candidate.

I also have concerns about Fetterman's ability to serve out his term effectively. But I do know what he stands for and believes in. And I know he will fight for what's right, and for Pennsylvanians.

Apples and Oranges compared to someone like Walker. Shame on you

Karl Rove. Old Turd Blossom was beaming. Bet you thought you'd never be on his side, did you? The GOP will be measuring the size of the wave they would have had without that boat anchor on their prospects. Best of all, maybe this will lower the temperature a bit.

On both sides, we face the future with hope and anxiety. Good things world events are relatively cal... What?

I'm not so sure about that.

It's what nationally the GOP will want to say, based on these results.

The DeSantis/Trump primary for who wins the nomination is going to be quite something to behold. Still a LOOOOOTTTT of Trumpers out there that would rather lose with Trump than have half a chance of winning with DeSantis

Always annoyed me when I had to go to Frugal MacDoogal to get a decent bottle of wine or high gravity beer, truth be told. Though shopping in there after class at 9 AM on a Friday alongside the caterers filling shopping carts was always hilarious.

DeSantis is going to have to take it, it won’t be handed over cleanly short of a Trump medical issue.

Trump is already trialing nicknames, Ron DeSanctimonius, though it will need a bit of workshopping!

Given how DeSantis struggled to answer even a fairly simple question of ”will you commit to serving your term“ I’m going to be very interested to see any debate involving them both.

But I live in a state that's uninterested in politics, generally speaking, as a pathetic % of people vote and those who do are easily swayed by stupid slogans ("don't California Texas" when, in fact, a majority of people from CA who move here are right-leaning) or the latest cultural outrage (the libs are gonna transgender your kid and teach them CRT!!). I'm feeling too old these days to try and change much here. In the future, my efforts will be elsewhere. Especially if my youngest decides to practice medicine elsewhere.

That Beto couldn't win, or get closer, to beating Abbott is truly bewildering from anyone who lives outside the Sun Belt. By virtually any measure, Abbott has been a failure as a governor - from the power grid issues, to hurricane clean up, to the terrible optics of the Uvalde response, etc, etc.

It just shows how red Texas still is, by and large

I tend to agree that the party still belongs to Trump. DeSantis has positioned himself well to scoop it up if Trump is under indictment, though.
