My home state - they make bad choices for Governor, SOS, senate, etc but at least Medicaid expansion got through. I know the new SOS, and she is batshit crazy.
Fetterman may have mush for brains now but he was a top tier candidate at the start.Neither should have been running. It isn't a character question. It about exercising common sense.
They should have done the responsible thing and owned up to the man's true condition. What's going on borders on abuse.
Both parties are doing stupid things for venal reasons. He is in no condition to serve, and I suspect he will be quietly shuffled off unless he recovers.
I hope he recovers.
Walker is an absolute dumpster fire. There are so many reasons he should have been disqualified as a candidate.Neither should have been running. It isn't a character question. It about exercising common sense.

I'm not so sure about that. Here's a message in a bottle from an old cranky R. Last night was the beginning of the end of the influence of Donald Trump on the party. It belongs to Ron DeSantis now.
Gen Z is the key. Florida is older voters. Younger voters, especially out West, went overwhelming against the Trump-identifying candidates, and with the exception of Vance, the Trump-anointed candidates are dropping in the Senate races.
The Republicans are a dumpster fire, but don't get cocky. This was not a D win, it was a Trump loss. Worth it for that. It's not like Fetterman is some great candidate. They should be as ashamed of putting him out there as the R's should be for Herschel Walker.
We have a lot of things to sort over here, and precious few answers. I bet that sounds familiar. Don't be surprised to see some movement from Rs to finally make Trump have to answer for his behavior. Happiest man of the night?
Karl Rove. Old Turd Blossom was beaming. Bet you thought you'd never be on his side, did you? The GOP will be measuring the size of the wave they would have had without that boat anchor on their prospects. Best of all, maybe this will lower the temperature a bit.
On both sides, we face the future with hope and anxiety. Good things world events are relatively cal... What?
Always annoyed me when I had to go to Frugal MacDoogal to get a decent bottle of wine or high gravity beer, truth be told. Though shopping in there after class at 9 AM on a Friday alongside the caterers filling shopping carts was always hilarious.I can buy wine at the Publix? In Tennessee?
Saints be praised!
DeSantis is going to have to take it, it won’t be handed over cleanly short of a Trump medical issue. Here's a message in a bottle from an old cranky R. Last night was the beginning of the end of the influence of Donald Trump on the party. It belongs to Ron DeSantis now.

That Beto couldn't win, or get closer, to beating Abbott is truly bewildering from anyone who lives outside the Sun Belt. By virtually any measure, Abbott has been a failure as a governor - from the power grid issues, to hurricane clean up, to the terrible optics of the Uvalde response, etc, etc.Perhaps Beto would do well in another state. I'll give you that. He's a tireless worker and a good retail politician.
But I live in a state that's uninterested in politics, generally speaking, as a pathetic % of people vote and those who do are easily swayed by stupid slogans ("don't California Texas" when, in fact, a majority of people from CA who move here are right-leaning) or the latest cultural outrage (the libs are gonna transgender your kid and teach them CRT!!). I'm feeling too old these days to try and change much here. In the future, my efforts will be elsewhere. Especially if my youngest decides to practice medicine elsewhere.
I tend to agree that the party still belongs to Trump. DeSantis has positioned himself well to scoop it up if Trump is under indictment, though.DeSantis is going to have to take it, it won’t be handed over cleanly short of a Trump medical issue.
Trump is already trialing nicknames, Ron DeSanctimonius, though it will need a bit of workshopping!
Given how DeSantis struggled to answer even a fairly simple question of ”will you commit to serving your term“ I’m going to be very interested to see any debate involving them both.
Have they even elected a Democrat statewide since Ann?That Beto couldn't win, or get closer, to beating Abbott is truly bewildering from anyone who lives outside the Sun Belt. It just shows how red Texas still is, by and large
Throw Tim Scott in to the mix and see how they (particularly Trump) treat him...I'm not so sure about that.
It's what nationally the GOP will want to say, based on these results.
The DeSantis/Trump primary for who wins the nomination is going to be quite something to behold. Still a LOOOOOTTTT of Trumpers out there that would rather lose with Trump than have half a chance of winning with DeSantis
No chance Trump gets indicted now.I tend to agree that the party still belongs to Trump. DeSantis has positioned himself well to scoop it up if Trump is under indictment, though.
Yeah this would be brutalNo chance Trump gets indicted now.
Also looks likely Biden and Harris will run again.
