Here's a message in a bottle from an old cranky R. Last night was the beginning of the end of the influence of Donald Trump on the party. It belongs to Ron DeSantis now.

Gen Z is the key. Florida is older voters. Younger voters, especially out West, went overwhelming against the Trump-identifying candidates, and with the exception of Vance, the Trump-anointed candidates are dropping in the Senate races.

The Republicans are a dumpster fire, but don't get cocky. This was not a D win, it was a Trump loss.
There's more at play here than simply Trump. For example, since the Dobbs ruling, Ds have been over-performing in certain areas of the country and not much question in my mind it played a significant role.

I'm convinced Scott will be front and center going forward.
he will, and tho not my cup of tea politically, it would make a lot of sense.

Also, don't storm off in a huff because people didn't react great to your 'two sides at it' post.
Your contributions are always considered but when your party is a clown car stuck in a dumpster fire you should expect some push back.
Besides, Biden and Schumer strike me as the kind of politicians republicans would have loved twenty years ago.
