how's the photography going, anyroad?

It would be like friendly fire lid. I get you.

Sound thanks. Had a quiet week or two but got my macro extension tubes so am keen to get some creepy crawlies with them. Dearly want a macro lens but the price of them is a bit crazy so am going to go with what I got until I'm rich.

Took this.

I agree. Dave's often said that Moyes is time rich if not resources rich and that makes up somewhat for it.

Yeah but 11 years of other teams around you spending loads of money whilst you lose players and have to make do with cheap replacements, isn't exactly the major advantage people are making out.
If he was well funded throughout that time then I would agree but he's falling further behind every year in terms of what is bought elsewhere against what he can buy.

The point though, what has league position got to do with weak cup exists, if your using the same yardstick you cant start measuring meters.

Come on Man U put out four or five reserves in their semi against us because it was third in their priorities list and they ended up winning the league, the league cup, the world club cup and reaching the CL final that year. You can't compare that to our search for our first trophy in 18 years.

Two strawmans in one argument.

1: what does league position have to do with limp cup exits?
2a: it's not our job to find the next manager, none of us knew Moyes back in 2001 either
2b: we've had loads of threads with dozens of suggested managers, many from Europe with cup pedigree.

I think you might want to learn what a strawman is first, tbh.

I was directly responding to those who have been calling for Moyes' head recently because of his poor cup performances, despite the fact that he is what has kept us top half of the table. Without him there is every chance we'll slide down the league, something which we as a club can in no way afford. I don't think you really understood my position in the first place. The fact that financially we're 14th in the league and are yet currently 6th speaks volumes about how important Moyes is to the way this club operates. I have never once said that he can't improve tactically, or that we can't win cup matches and be financially conservative.

Explain to me where the strawman is in that.

We did the same against Leeds mate and it still hurt - its all relative. Spurs are similar: 1991, have spent 100s of millions and apart from a league cup under George Graham - if i remember correctly, theyve acheived less then us relatively under Moyes. Their last fa cup final Gazza and Lineker were playing.

Won a second league cup under Ramos, I think. And had a run to the CL quarters.
