Removed an inept manager, progressing well on the stadium, cleared debt and seems capable of bringing in more commercial revenue. Somewhat lacking on the transfer front, but that will hopefully change during the summer. So it's been a good first year.

Start a thread like this after a failed transfer window rather than a day that there's been a small shove forward on a stadium deal and you'll get different results.

Nothing happened so far of any note. No big squad investment, no commercial shift to a different level, we stand at the bottom rung of a ladder on stadium delivery.

When i saw this i thought of you: :p

I think a few people will feel disappointed after all the media talk of warchests, transfer targets etc, Im happy that we finally seem to have somebody thats aiming to move us forward, reservations about BK and Suntan still loitering around, hopefully that will change in the near future a B+ from me

It's a year and a month on from when he signed up and bought a piece of us. Good a time as any to get a review of how people feel about his tenure a year on.
If you can't see the foundational work that's been done as something deeply positive and progress, well that's on you really.
He's had to start from scratch after years of under investment and stagnation under Kenwright and Co. No point building on the shambles that was left us, rebuilding the foundations to give us a solid platform to progress is a key step in the process of winning trophies and competing in Europe regularly.

Debt wiped

Goodison given a much needed facelift

The fraud dumped

Getting a riverside stadium project off the ground, funding vehicle sorted, council backing the scheme, top notch architect engaged.

Getting his mate to gift us £5m a year for having his holding company name on our training ground

Not being Kenwright

There's nothing achieved. We have an average squad and are miles off a new stadium.

But the point was that if we have another scabby transfer window and a question was posed concerning Moshiri the numbers would be a lot different. It's your shout like. But votes of confidence after big headline news on stadiums are bound to give a very skewed result.

Clear funding mechanism with the council on board instead of fighting against in the past is something deeply significant IMO. You're right that the transfer window will be a good indicator following that poor one last summer and an ok winter window but this is just a toe in the water poll a year on.

Generally everything is heading in the right direction, so whats not to like. If he had come in and said 'I'm going to get the stadium built first and most of the money will be spent on that' i would have still been ok as that is the single biggest thing to happen to this club for the best part of 30 years.

The fact that the stadium could be on the waterfront takes it up another level. He didn't have to do it, he could have taken the easier cheaper option at SC and without the talk of one on the Mersey, we would have followed. He even tidied up Goodison, again with the promise of a new stadium there was zero need for it.

The manager and the team are better than what he had at the start of his reign.

Do I wish we could do that all faster? Yes of course, I want a world beating team right now! But if you look at the facts, there are reasons why this isn't possible. Lets get our ducks in a row and eventually I have faith that we will succeed.

Lets hope Moshiri keeps on doing what he is doing now and remains fit and healthy.

Its hard to argue with the difference now between 1 year ago. Everton were on 32 points, instead of 50. The stories were Lukaku was almost certainly gone. There was no hope of a stadium, much less the most progress Everton have had in my lifetime towards a fantastic one. The manager was dead weight. The manager is better, the team is better, the youth are better, the future stadium is better, the finances are better.

Lets face it, the only way you couldnt be very positive is, well, if you used Davek logic, and I've heard thats banned in 49 countries and Antarctica.

What would you have done differently in his position? I know you're only on a windup like but it would be interesting to know
