The whole thing is very unsavoury.
A proper kick in the balls for fans who have shown unwavering loyalty when the club has lurched from one crisis to another.
I'm not sure they'll even come out and say anything, it's a new ownership model who will want to make money - we knew that when they bought us. The previous owners nearly put us into administration so if they did say anything, it would probably be that we haven't been run properly in the past an their new financial strategy will prevent that from ever being the case again. They better come out and explain that for fans. They must be tin-eared if they think they can announce that bombshell and get away with telling people effectively to move on.
If that's their attitude I can predict with 100% certainty this wont end well for them and in a very short period of time too.
Super exploiters who never set foot in the club is not a great look.

Castore - £20m until 2029
Stake - £10m until 2026
Christopher Ward - £2m until 2028
Hill Dickinson - £10m until 2035
Also should we maintain our current position in the league, 8th, we would bring in around £150m which is a increase of £15m from our 14th position last year.
This doesn't include the amount of additional deals with Budweiser, Pepsi Max, Heinz etc
The club employs a commercial team who should be held to account to meet the biggest deals this club has ever seen.
Fans should not be used to top up greed
You'd think there has to be an implosion of some sorts soon, the increase in costs to follow a Premier League team can't keep growing as it has can it? (Mick McCarthy voice 'it can!').
The cost of the 4 (ridiculous!) kits per season, the ST prices, the costs of subscriptions to watch it on telly, the costs when you're in the stadium. At some point people willl vote with their feet, the issue now is that others are happy to pay it meaning the club won't feel any difference as someone decides to not renew as someone else jumps straight in.
Then why aren't these super-keen fans "jumping in" for all the resale seats for every game? Also, many fans on the waiting lists put their names down when the season tickets were much cheaper than they are now, how many are truly committed at the current prices? They were also prompted over a number of years by the very limited availability at GP squeezing that demand, and by the promise of BMD pushing it even further. The reality now seems to be that most on those waiting lists have no problems in getting tickets now, and if polls on here are to be believed, anything up to 20% of season ticket holders are considering not renewing after just one season. So, I think the "financial balance" for our fanbase is fairly fragile, and if they push that too far they could soon see far more empty seats.

What was interesting is @davek pointing out that right across the board we have higher season ticket prices than the RS.

This is true. We all predicted it last summer. The issue, however, is are we getting "free spending foreign owners chasing success" or are they really just profit maximisers nurturing their asset in the comfy confines of mid-table?Free spending foreign owners chasing success v cheap tickets.

I just think the whole interest in buying a club is that the fans are there every season spending money on a product for the rest of their livesNothing is stopping The Friedkins Group from dropping Season Tickets to £650 while obtaining the biggest sponsorship deals in the club history to counterbalance income.
