Homepage Article Fan Advisory Board Statement On Price Rises

According to the all knowing artificial intelligence, which of course never gets anything wrong, SCR is not replacing PSR, but it is instead an added requirement with both being applicable. And the SCR requirement is going to be a bit of a spanner in the works for clubs like Bournemouth, who have previously relied on sound player trading.

Real revenue outside of player trading is going to become more important than ever, and our new stadium gives us at least an opportunity to possibly compete once again, which just would not have been possible at Goodison.

It also said that 'free transfers' are no longer going to be as appealing as they once were, especially if the 'free' transfer translates into a far higher wage for the player being picked up 'on a free'.
Well they put out a presser explaining the difference, no AI needed.

Until a backlash. There's always a backlash.

As others have said on here: the type of cash they get in from their infamous 'uplift' makes no sense in terms of cost-benefit for them. It's not enough to make a difference on anything other than maybe the running costs of the club for a couple of months, but it stores up a LOT of ill-will toward them because it IS piling monetary pressures on already suffering fans who are up against a cost of living crisis.

To then not not have the courtesy to explain their actions is an extra slap in the face.

This is NOT the way to run a football club.
Rinse and repeat for pretty much every American owners of Premier League clubs. They are all giant parasites milking the fans.

Some of our fans are on their hands and knees kissing their ring pieces though.

Club's gone if there's no mobilisation against these gangsters.

How can you not have when our ST prices (as of last season) had three of the 'top 6' charging more and 3 charging less?
You mean like Oil State City & Skunks , Manu campaigning for years

Every man and his dog knew there'd be price hikes if we want to be competing every season.
And yes this hike is well over the odds tbf

Lets look at the average Dave , weve been one of the cheapest to support for years.
Welcome to the Big League.

Yeah its an inability to actually think about these things without any emotion. The fact is they got the club at a rock bottom price with a brand new stadium, haven't shown any real ambition so far and have re-financed the shocking loans we had to put us on a better footing. Allowing foreign owners into the league has seen the fans getting shafted.

Not much of an argument is it.

They've basically kept the plate spinning here so far.

I kept my gob shut about this lot since they came in. Give them a bit of time to do the right things. The backing of the squad improvements (or what should have been improvements until Moyes pissed most of it up the wall) was welcomed and they got a lot of credit for it. Fair enough.

But last week's punishment beating of the most loyal part of our fanbase - the people we relied on for years to keep us up - and the profiteering from hacking away at Family Sections (again, the future of the club) has placed a lot of people completely at odds with this lot.

You make it sound like they are in control of the situation when they absolutely are not...as all those ownership regimes toppled in the PL and Championship over the last few decades bear testimony to...including a couple of our own ownership regimes.

It's a myth these people run the show and can just call the shots and stay in power by a few manoeuvres to stay in control. That's a woeful underestimation of fan power.
The last few decades aren't especially relevant in a lot of cases. The landscape has completely changed.

The new breed of owners aren't local theatre impresarios or Christmas Hamper magnates. They're remote, removed and influenced only by the ongoing value and return on their investment.

The last guy went because he, and Uncle Uzzy, were financially done with the club due in part to global events and in part to his own incompetence - not because he was cowed by a graffitied bedsheet or lids squawking at Anthony Gordon's car.

That's not true. United, Liverpool,Newcastle, Villa and City all have lower ST pricing.

Only Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea are higher.

There's no link here to success and ST cost.

It's arbitrary based on what owners view as elasticity. Ours believe they have a fanbase that can be hammered. Well they need to look at the addresses of our fans and the types of relatively deprived districts they reside in.

Not just in price but in relation to demand. They've made it line up with same price as the RS - more so as we've a new facility. The Friedkin's would've looked and asked why aren't our prices the same as there's IF we're supposed to be a big club? Or we sticking in the same price bracket as Brighton, Forest etc.

As for squeezing out, its in related to how they operate. You don't go to a couple of games at United, they revoke your season ticket because theres a waiting list and they fill out OT. Which then leads to all clubs being their own ticket touts in their resale platform.

City aren't bothered who turns up if at all. Spurs/Arsenal - yes London but both moved stadiums and charged a premium.

I absolutely disagree with it, it should've been incremental rather than a full 12% if they were going to do it. But i also see why they've done it and not surprised.

They'll be looking to see how much they can get away with, without rocking the apple cart too much

Sadly as it stands we are not a top club.
What works at Manchester united will never work here.
They (utd) really do want none spending ST holders out as they can fill the seat with ease.....irrespective of where they are in the table.
Put it this way. If a group of these much vaunted "wealthy tourists" docked a mile from BMD and were offered to see a PL game of their choice it'd be the RS or more likely a taxi up the East Lancs to see the Mancs.

Again, ill go back too...how do you know what the market is like if you haven't tested it?

They've set the price. If they have the worst ST sales for a decade, it'll get lowered. If they sell and we fill out HD every week...its working.
