First derby at the new ground a loss against a terrible side . Branthwaite stretchered off , last min winner couldn't have gone worse if we tried .

Shiny new stadium, same old story.First derby at the new ground a loss against a terrible side . Branthwaite stretchered off , last min winner couldn't have gone worse if we tried .
Thankfully the stadium is something Liverpool will always be jealous of regardless of results.Shiny new stadium, same old story.
You say that like it's a bad thing though? We're just fans talking about the game after the event, obviously much of what we say is going to be influenced by hindsight, how can it not be? It's not our job to make the right decisions and make the adjustments which win games, that's what we employ a manager for. Football's a results business and you're going to be judged on whether the decisions you make work out or not, not whether they seemed like theoretically good ideas at the time. I have no issue with the initial decisions that led to Barry and George coming on but the fact that they didn't work out at all and we did nothing to rectify the complete lack of control we had over the game once they'd come on is an issue that merits discussion on a football forum's thread about the game I would have thought.it shouldn't have been george and barry, it should have been rohl and alcaraz. no no wait. should have been the lad in the u21's. maybe next time sub the toffee lady on the help defend a corner.
hindsights.
Fair point. It's a fair point, but if you remove the points theft we would have been 12th not 15th that season.
Or if you remove 8 points this season we would be 14th, level with Leeds. In either scenario it hints at much less progress.
the hindsights are joining up dots to demand the sacking of the manager though. same bunch every loss or draw. all go to ground when we win. correlation is uncanny. You say that like it's a bad thing though? We should not have been in that position.
Of course the players have responsibility but it's his job to make sure they're switched on all the time as well. The players get more blame on that situation but to say it's nothing to do with him is ridiculous.
Whether it's last minute or not is irrelevant, are you saying a manager is never to blame when you concede off a corner?

are you for real here? a Manager/ coach does set piece routines etc
to say its moyes fault is proper straw clutching.
i was at the game loads who i spoke to there, during and after not ONE said
we got battered not one.
it’s horrible to concede to ANYONE
in injury time worse to your rivals
we go again and move on as hard as
it was
5 games to play let’s fight
You've said it yourself - the manager organises the set pieces before the game. Including who marks who/zonal if that's how they want to do it. And it's his job to make sure they stick to it. As I said, players also have responsibility, more than the manager in that situation but to say he's blameless is just weird.are you for real here? a Manager/ coach does set piece routines etc
to say its moyes fault is proper straw clutching.

As you'll see from my other posts, I think Moyes has done a good job overall but he's not blameless. There's one-eyed posts on both sides of this argument on here.
