Weve got strength in depth in every position.

Moyes has never used a full squad. He has an 11 at the beginning of every season and sticks to it as much as possible, every game.

Meaning all other squad members are rusting and not ready until being thrown in at random and then dropped at will.
Can only presume you are on one of your wind ups?

Probably only Arsenal and City have actual “strength in depth in every position”!

We have question marks over both full backs positions, no real quality at centre forward, and players who are often played out of position to fill in!

It’ll be a few transfer windows yet before we have anything like strength in depth in every position!

Absolute No. The first thing you must change it's the mentality. That's the real thing. If you still believe that been in the middle of the table is enough, you lose.
I didn't say it's enough. I feel it is an improvement on the last few seasons though. I agree about changes in mentality, having said that, it is not simply the case of saying "C'mon lads, we'll win this". Getting results against the likes of Chelsea and Manure go someway to altering the perception of playing the "better teams". It does take time and will come eventually. There is no "instant" fix. Constantly crying about managerial replacements is one of the reasons we were in a bit of a mess.

Yeah I was angry and gutted last night , like a kick to the b@lls or going through nicotine withdrawal, same this morning but its starting to dissipate, just keeping off social media and whattss app helps until the next thing that comes along.

And I didn't even watch the game, just refreshed my phone for score updates , it's the only fixture I cant watch... anyone else like this?
Yeah, I've been known to go to the cinema to escape even the updates on it. I bit the bullet and went to the match yesterday but I'm not sure I'll do that again. The only time I've regretted not going is when we won 2-2 last season, but generally watching or going to the derby once every five or ten years is enough for me.

Maybe I'm clutching at straws here but for their winning goal Konate and Van Dick are all over Tarkowski. They've got their arms on his shoulders, pushing him and Kavanagh is looking straight at it. Anywhere else on the pitch he gives a free kick. But it's always the same story with them. I don't know why I still get myself wound up about it after all these years.
Yeah RS worked that well, unfortunately. Somehow isolated our main CB with a ball into the 6yrd box.

How we didn't get a penalty for Jones falling over into KDH... Joke.

Any decent side highlights our problems in tight games, though:

- Over reliance on Ndiaye, whose isolated
- no threat from FB positions
- no decent CF ( Beto improved of late, BARRY AWFUL
- Moyes has shelled out 100m and none of it's on the pitch to help in a game like that.

I'm not asking for immediate changes. But I do want consistency in what's being done. Four new players and they haven't touched the field. The same old faces. And the same results.

The time isn't now though is it. That's more William Wallace than WilliamBoo. I feel we have competed well this season with what we have.

I am a lot more satisfied being "middle of the standings" than almost being relegated. We are mathematically safe from relegation and it isn't down to the last game (or few games).

Last few seasons:

24/25: 13th
23/24: 15th
22/23: 17th

Looking at the above, even if we finish 10th, that is still continual improvement. I would be disgruntled if we finished below last season. We have no right to expect Europe.

You mention who does not risk does not win. There is also, risk it all and lose it all. We need balance and an actual strategy. Moshiri risked all the first few years and it messed us up big time. This is much better......for now.

It's a fair point, but if you remove the points theft we would have been 12th not 15th that season.

Or if you remove 8 points this season we would be 14th, level with Leeds. In either scenario it hints at much less progress.

Also often think it was 10 points in the November, only reduced to 6 in Feb (with a threat of more of unknown amount to come as well same season!). Put us right in the mire.

Go from November-Feb this season, -10 put us firmly in a scrap.
