the injury time winner way?
(Notwithstanding VAR and an average Reff who let them kick everything above ground)

If they score more goals than you, then you let them do it - it's your own fault
1st min or last min - When they score the extra goals needed to win doesn't matter

We let them do it time after time - the circumstances may differ but the end result is - in the same old way

No point even getting arsed about the pl with officiating like this, it’s a rigged game, that swung it for me yesterday, disgraceful biased bent officiating.

Van bader has to get booked for that assault, it’s wreckess and dangerous, a Sunday league alehouse challenge that would have got a booking (at least) in any alehouse league in the world.

If he’s booked then he has to manage how he plays his game differently every minute after that, but as he wasn’t he could carry on fouling and grappling without worry, it’s a farce.

I’ll just go the game now to enjoy spending time with the kids and meeting me mates for a gab/laugh and a pint or two, the match is simply secondary to me, as results are being decided not by what is going on, on the field of play fairly, as they should be.

That’s not Everton’s fault btw, that’s the corrupt pl and the refs
I did post this a week before the game. I wonder who VVD will try and hurt and not even get booked. It’s so obvious, he’s a horrible player. I would love him to pull up with an injury and miss the World Cup.

Everton. Something to play for, potentially Europe and lo and behold up steps a ref who gives us nothing in a derby. The only time we get anything in a derby is when a ref officiates the game fairly. Unfortunately for us it very rarely happens.

The late goal obviously leaves a sour taste. On reflection, the positive I take is the progress that we have made. In recent years, even when we managed to get a decent result, the difference in quality was obvious. On Sunday, we matched them for quality in many areas of the pitch and phases of the game

but an injury time winner is pot luck

anyway let’s move on back to winning!

Well I don’t know about the rest of you but I didn’t enjoy that at all . If any of my points are repeating what others have said , and I’m sure they are , then my apologies but I’m not at the stage of reading the thread back yet.

Games change in moments and when they had them their quality unfortunately shown throw.

Referee was awful , actually awful with the VVD /pickford booking incident an incredible piece of officiating.

That disallowed goal killed it for me and i suspect many others , it sucked the joy out of the stadium and I think impacted heavily both on and off the field . It wouldn’t have had that impact had a flag gone up .

Very Disappointed to not test the 3rd choice keeper when he came on.

Something needs to be looked at from a coaching point of view with how we as a unit deal with corners.

Barry’s cameo was awful and rightly or wrongly it’ll take some rehabilitation to get him back to where he was with the crowd .

They are going in hard after this one....all smug and banging on the Our cup final stuff.

Its hard to take, having to shut all social media off for a few days.
Yes it's classic gaslighting, with htis one they love the new stadium angle...if we win (I know , I know) it's ' when you getting the dvd out' or 'your cup final' or the old classic 'obsessed' one told me on Sunday it was 'highlight of the season, no decade' but its ok when they celebrate like fuc and rub our noses in it, its not a big game for them or a cup final - despite clear evidence to the contrary, bunch of furcin clun ts .

Well we kind of blew that one ,sickening but :

Reasons to be positive:

We’re at the right end of the table with potential to improve further.
We’ve got some quality and went into this one believing we could win.
Atmosphere, pre match , around ground and inside was magic.
Noise at the start and for our offside goal was unbelievable, that will live with me forever.
We really should have been two goals up with the KDH/ Beto chances.
RS shirts weirdly absent in Liverpool all weekend( good 👍). My bad luck to get sat with three reds on the train back, on what was almost entirely blue train . Told them to enjoy Slot for another season and watch him waste more money 😀.
We’ve got some good youngsters (Armstrong /dibling /george - check out some of the training videos ) just need to get them more game time at the right stage. Armstrong is ready now for me , good composure on the ball, and always willing to receive.

Room for improvement

Defending for both goals piss poor , Tarks and Myko should have done better.

More quality upfront to convert chances created and full backs who are comfortable passing the ball forward, making runs and crossing needed.

Barry needs a cuddle/ boot up the arse ( whatever works to get motivated ), he’s got better quality than Beto and is being kept out of the team by someone who’s giving it 100% effort and putting a few away.

Moyes needs to bring on fresh legs a bit earlier, we ran out of steam at the end of this one .
