Improve the midfield and you won’t need to do anything up top. DCL isn’t a player who will create something from nothing, so he needs a strong midfield service to have a chance of scoring. If our team could fashion up good chances, he’ll score. He’s got it in his locker to get onto the end of crosses, e.g. Burnley goal, and unlike Lukaku he doesn’t find himself always offside! Midfield is the priority this summer, let’s just focus on that for now.
Whatever we do this window I just hope we get it done early. Players only have a small while off and can’t risk integrating players into the team when we’re playing PL games next year. Also gives us the rest of the summer to focus on shipping out the deadwood that remains.

I think that's based on what Brands presented in the last AGM. I'll be honest i'm not to worried about spending on a CB - not unless it was a serious jump up in quality but if we don't sort out the midfield then it won't matter who we have in defence as they'll be overrun. ideally we need a couple of CM. A ball winner and then someone a bit more creative who can carry the ball up the pitch. A first choice right and left winger and depending on Kean's future maybe another striker. Kean is still highly rated in Italy and if we are after someone like Under at Roma he could be used in any deal. But if he goes he'd need replacing.
A lot of deadwood to bin this window too.

Kenny's situation is a weird one, got a feeling Carlo will want to keep him.
A winger/wide forward, mainly on the right, will be a bigger priority than on the left. Think you're right on Bernard and Iwobi, Bernard makes the most sense, probs as good as he's ever gonna be, on bigger wages and would be 100% profit, Iwobi on less wages, still more room for improvement. Will give us more balance, Iwobi and Gordon for the left, Walcott and hypothetical new player for the right.

The conundrum is that we play 2 in CB & 2 at CF in the 442.
If 3 CB's isnt enough "cover" then how can the club justify having only 3 CF's should Tosun/Sandro leave as expected?
I personally think we'll sign 5 players this window be it atleast 1 on loan.
