I'm not trying to have a go, but he has shown he can do this. Maybe he drops off next season, but I suspect not.

I sort of agree wth you too, he will never look a natural, and will miss chances, but by christ he will get a lot of opportunities in games as well.
I do think we need a different option off the bench. Richie, Dom and even Kean are all very similar. If Kean leaves i would maybe be tempted to bring in an older striker to be that experienced head we sometimes lack. A bit like Giroud has been at Cheslea.

If DCL was our only attacking threat like Vardy or Ings and he only scored in a "purple patch" It would be gravely concerning but we have someone like Richarlison who spreads the goals out so I'm not really bothered of course if you want to make the step up to the next level as a striker you would need to do it over the season and not a small period but I would have been happy with 10 this season but to get 15 where our midfield has fallen off a cliff is pretty insane.

Our new RW and CM will chip in with goals as well.

But then we get a 3 month lay off for a CF and we have no rotation/option off the bench.

I think its criminal for the club to not factor in potential injuries over the course of the season when you look at the sheer number of them that we seem to get.
How far away is Simms from the first team?

What would you define a consistent goalscorer as though?
His return for this season is fine , no doubt about that .....but he just doesn't look comfortable or composed in front of goal. He seems to grab at goal scoring opportunities rather than letting them come to him. I'm guess that I am saying that for all his many attributes he is not a natural goalscorer , as you see with Rashford and Greenwood - they look far more assured and less nervous when presented with a chance to score

One who knows the dark arts of CF play, like when to stamp on a defenders foot while the refs not looking.

Goals need to be spread around the team, if he can get 15 every season as well as everything else that he brings , that would be fine.
Totally agree. If DCL and Richarlison reporoduce this years return and midfielders start to chip in we will be fine at that end of the pitch.

Trying to get more info today. Story developing and like I said yesterday...it will be out in a day or two. Richy wanted to get ahead of it. Inside lane.
World record fee you said didn't you? Doubt it. If he gets sold cant see it more than doubling our money.
