But feel there is a shelf life in opourtunity in the squad, come Feb he might just get mins here and there. On that score and if it came to pass - I’d prefer him at Preston playing every week until May!

I dont know what the fixation is sending him back up there: he'll have learned all he needs to learn there by now and he's better within a PL squad now picking up the odd sub appearance and integrating with Everton players ready for next season.

It's like people believe loads of time playing in the Championship automatically confers 'dues paid' status to a player or that it's like being dunked in rejuvenatory spa pools.
