He should have been pilloried at the press conference for the travesty of a performance got out of the players on Sunday and his team selection.

But this is his real talent: the ability to weave a story for the media that they readily repeat for him that this level of shocking performance is permissible for Everton.

It's what he's done since day one back in 2002 and it'll be what he continues to do until he slings his hook.

Win, and win handsomely after that Brentford horror show....which was down to 'mental fatigue' according to the manager.

Possibly, but Moshiri had similar ideas when he arrived and we nearly got relegated. Should probably reference West Ham for how it's working out for them too.

I'm not saying Moyes's job should never be under threat, but there's a tendency for new owners to be trigger happy when they arrive and it often doesn't go to plan. Right now, it's a mid table squad getting mid table results. If like Aston Villa, we create a squad like they did under Gerrard and it under performs then we can think about removing Moyes, but only for a manager that clearly has what it takes to bring the club forward. No more flavour of the month appointments like Koeman and Silva.
I'd take Silva. He's done well everywhere he's been except here, and we were hardly set up for success at the time. One of the greatest managers in history had us in 10th.

Bad as some of the performances have been this season, we're in a better place now than we were when Silva was here.

I rate Silva and upon reflection we pulled the trigger too early. He's not going to do any better than Moyes now though.

Why are they called dingles?

Thought Burnley were the Dingles ?
Dingles of the Midlands.

In Wolves case it's down to West Brom fans noting a general scruffiness and simpleness in the Wolves faithful, not dissimilar to the Emmerdale characters. Which is a bit pot and kettle, but y'know, the narcissm of minor differences etc.

Since when do journalists pillor anyone in Press Conferences? Maybe at a newsworthy club like Man U but there's not much print in getting on the back of a non 'glamorous' club manager is there? Plus I'm sure we're great at giving them tea and biscuits
