I watched Patterson cross four balls yesterday, three went long and one never made it past the first man.
How hard can it possibly be to put it on the penalty spot.

I'm still frustrated by that today.
Said pretty much the same thing in the Nathan Patterson thread yesterday, very wayward crossing from him again. If he can't cross a ball by this time in his career though, I doubt it's something they'll be able to coach into him.

they are all the same, i'm not joking, i could put in a better ball than this lot and i'm slightly disbled and on a stick.
I have no idea how some of them got to be professional footballers.

As if the game wasn't bad enough, got to the airport and my flight home got delayed by an hour and a half. Then when we get on the flight something happened and the cops came on to remove a passenger.

Was 10:30pm before i got home and that was from a 3:30am start.
Which one was that pal? Got the 6:05pm one myself.
Got stung after the Brentford game with the snow. Supposed to takeoff at 9pm, 1:30am taking off

I'm over for the United game. At the time, I said I'd treat myself, so got tickets, hotels, flights, etc. Now, I genuinely regret it.
Mrs BR treating me to the Bournemouth game including flights and hotel - going to try the Radisson at Lime Street for a change.

Tbh I have no expectation of a win, but that's the joy of following Everton for 56 years 😎

• An abject performance which began by barely touching the ball in the opening 10 minutes. Too passive in all phases of the play.

• Squad was threadbare missing Keane, Branthwaite, Coleman, Gueye, Iroegbunam, Dewsbury-Hall, Alcaraz, Grealish and Ndiaye. The support cast did their chances no favours whatsoever in their absence and really highlighted the lack of strength in depth.

• Despite the better balance he created by being an overlapping outlet, Patterson again showing why he’s often overlooked with a poor performance.

• Particularly poor displays from Dibling, McNeil, Röhl, Beto and Barry.

• Garner, Armstrong, Mykolenko, Aznou the only players to come away from that performance with any credit.

• Strangely annoyed to see us playing in another colour at home; not sure what the purpose was there.

• Beautiful to watch a game without VAR and underlined just how badly it affects the game from a spectator’s perspective.

• The penalties were atrocious. There’s nothing wrong with taking a proper run up and striking through the ball from 12 yards.

• Another year without a trophy really is testing. There is such little joy in being an Evertonian.
Good summary that.

I think/hope/pray the current run jars the club into a little rethink.

Short term:

- get a player or two in to help a tilt at Europe. It is doable, still
- let everyone else knacker themselves out not winning the FA Cup or whatever Euro tombola they're in

Mid term:
- if Moyes deserves another season ( I'm not against yet) it's because he shows his hand at finishing the season strongly, as he has previously, and then gets a decent summer pulling players into the positions where we all know we're not good enough

Long term

Player recruitment and our reserves. Where is the quality coming into this team?

If I'm lucky I get to the stadium 5-6 times a season. I appreciate the cup runs are horrible for supporters who I admire and respect for the time and energy given week in and out.

But Europe is huge for us, it means we can go out and recruit the players we need, rather than heaping the pressure/ cash on lads like Jack. But that needs to be led by a different team than has overseen out current pipeline of talent.

tbh, i haven't seen the pens, but all this stuttering run up stuff (slowing down and waiting for the keeper to move) should be outlawed, butoutlawed. You've got a free shot at goal ffs, stop being a greedy tit and just hit it. The law should be, run as slow/fast as you want, but once you start you can't slow down. If you do, it's a free kick to the opposition for ungentlemanly conduct (being an underhand tit)
I think it is outlawed, but it isn't applied.
