I truth is that with the players currently available we are not going to beat any Premier League team. Those available are not Premier League standard. Moyes could be the illegitimate off spring of Ferguson shagging Carlo and he still couldn’t conjure up a winning side. We need our creative players back from suspension, injury and international duty and a couple of buys and then judge him.

• An abject performance which began by barely touching the ball in the opening 10 minutes. Too passive in all phases of the play.

• Squad was threadbare missing Keane, Branthwaite, Coleman, Gueye, Iroegbunam, Dewsbury-Hall, Alcaraz, Grealish and Ndiaye. The support cast did their chances no favours whatsoever in their absence and really highlighted the lack of strength in depth.

• Despite the better balance he created by being an overlapping outlet, Patterson again showing why he’s often overlooked with a poor performance.

• Particularly poor displays from Dibling, McNeil, Röhl, Beto and Barry.

• Garner, Armstrong, Mykolenko, Aznou the only players to come away from that performance with any credit.

• Strangely annoyed to see us playing in another colour at home; not sure what the purpose was there.

• Beautiful to watch a game without VAR and underlined just how badly it affects the game from a spectator’s perspective.

• The penalties were atrocious. There’s nothing wrong with taking a proper run up and striking through the ball from 12 yards.

• Another year without a trophy really is testing. There is such little joy in being an Evertonian.

I'm not sure people recognise just how bad this team is. I heard plenty of "No Wolves player would get in our team" coming out of Wednesday night and was baffled by how good they think our team is?

Pickford gets in most teams. Mykolenko doesn't get in any. Patterson/JOB at RB doesn't get in any. Tarks and Keane are bottom half CBs at best. Garner a midtable CM. The rest of the CMs poor and/or young. Beto and Barry aren't starting for at least 75% of most teams. Dibling and McNeil aren't starting for any teams unless they fancy relegation.

Ndiaye, KDH and Grealish massively paper over the cracks of this team and the first two being unavailable over the last month have proved that.

You forgot to mention who will take Moyes…any takers?

I judged him 15 - 20 years ago, he was poor then and he still is.

Although Debacles like this aren't exclusively Moyes-ish, he's had his fair share and this last week is just another in a long line.
No he didn't take penalties, or pull hair or clap but he's supposed to set the tone - the buck stops with him...allegedly.

West Ham probably

Don't rate Moyes massively highly but I don't know what people see in a team like the one we were forced to put out yesterday.

I know Garner is adored on here but even excusing that difference of opinion, who else is there that other teams are envious of?

The mentions of West Ham and Celtic in support of someone else who would take our manager as if the say ( as somebody actually did) “ be careful what you wish for “ is a sad indictment of where we are as a Club. One of those clubs couldn’t pick its own nose, never mind a manager hence the yo-yoing with young Martin O’Neill, whilst the other is an absolute basket case run by Alan Sugars bitch and a dildo trader. There’s a reason they’d be the right next port of call - it’s because they are at rock bottom and have zero foresight. Ask yourself would United, Sociedad or Sunderland take wee Davey back.
We had 12 barren years and learnt a whole lot about him in the latter 4-5 years to know it doesn’t get any better than predictable, inconsistent, cautious and dull to watch. We go to be entertained. Let’s not forget that.

If we can see some players aren’t good enough why can’t DM and his staff? Could get better penalty takers from Primary School teams. Pathetic!! Big shout to all our fans watching this rubbish week in week out!! COYB

Really don't get the fume about the kit. It's the sort of thing top clubs do to generate income. You can't bemoan our inability to financially compete and then turn around and complain about the club trying to make money.

Pink and black looks good anyway.
I wasnt in this thread yesterday so I apoligise for going over old ground but i do not like the idea of Everton wearing an away kit at home.
Everton play in blue end of story , not wearing blue at home sends out the the wrong signals like the game is unimportant .
This is not an opinion formed after the defeat i felt that way before a ball was kicked.Apparently it was to boost shirt sales but to gain a maximum income of 50 grand was it really worth ?

I'm sure he knows. The penalty selection was poor. Said already in this topic but Beto and Barry aren't competent, comfortable looking footballers. They'd have been way down my list. Pickford before them both.
