Moyes is the complete overhaul of the Moyes-Kenwright axis of mediocrity that has dominated this running of the club for the last 20 years? He is the culmination of it coming full circle, with fans once again starting to say that 12-17th is acceptable for a few seasons whilst other clubs progress and the traditional big 6 decline.

The overhaul of that system will be when we go and pick an attacking manager who doesn’t have repeated failures on their cv and back them to do it even if it means a period of adjustment.

So what would they have on this cv?

A history of taking relegation battling sides and making them consistent European challengers and with a European trophy under their belt? Oh, wait...

Or would you rather be a Bournemouth? looks nice for 5 games then get smashed off the park for 10 then look boss for 5 then get smashed off the park for 10. Nah, im alright been there done that.

Watched a attacking manager take the best side we've had for years and turning us into relegation fodder.

I couldn't stand kenwright and the way he ran things but moyes isnt the issue at this club

Today's match programme.

Lol.

Sunderland fan in peace here.

Pleased with the outcome but it was a much changed team for both so i'm not sure how much you can look into it when so many changes are made, we made 5 changes in the league cup at home vs huddersfield this season and got dumped out. I was pleased to avoid ndaiye and grealish today as both were excellent at the sol this season. Luckily sadiki was back after getting knocked out of afcon, he was an unreal find for us and linked up really well with xhaka .

Ref was shocking all game for both sides and crazy penalty decision just summed him up.

I'm sure it will be a very different game in the league when we meet in may, until then good luck with the season.

BTW.... love the new ground but will always prefer goodison, it was my favourite away ground as it is mostly a larger version of roker park.
Thanks mate

Playing the Two Ronnies up front really isn't working, apart from the comedic value. And don't get me started on the pens, it's as if they turned up to the initial 'How to take a Penalty' training session of the series titled 'How not to do it' and failed to turn up the following weeks for the 'How To' follow-ups. And our lack of pace in every area is shocking, we can clear the South Stand quicker than any of our players can get from our third to the final third of the pitch.
Poor comparison that... the Two Ronnies make me laugh, our Two make me weep...
