You highlighted it above in bold trying to be clever , but you are not just end it will you highlighting the word stupid is a hint by you you are waliking a thin line with your comments about me intimating I am a liar etc etc just stop it please that's my last reasoned request!

I'd suggest that you put me on ignore. I've not abused you, and if you wish to make that allegation, provide screenshots/quotes etc. to a moderator and they'll take appropriate action.

I've pointed to holes in your arguments, time and time again. If you don't want to read them then you know where the ignore button is.

Chances are it won't, and even if it did, it's unlikely that the lives of those who voted for it will change in the way they hoped it would.
So that's the basis of your argument against Brexit is it?. Because the ones who voted to leave all had different reasons for wanting to leave, and as all are unlikely to be totally satisfied, we should in fact stay. Oh, and because if we did leave, in your humble opinion, their lives would not be changed in the way they had hoped for.

Talk about being presumptuous mate.

See you later Joey. No need to be humiliated, just back up your argument next time. T'ra.

Joey, I appreciate the passion behind your views on leaving the EU even though we hold oposing views.

In the main the conduct in this thread has been good, posters focusing on the issues rather than individuals. You may disagree with me but I do not believe anyone has stepped seriously out of line, let's just focus on the issues not the individuals posting.

If you have concerns over any individual use the report function rather than argue with the poster concerned. Thank you.

No, it's not my argument against Brexit at all. It seems a long time ago now, but if I recall our original discussion was around the notion that whatever May and her government end up with will be fine because it was voted for by a majority of those who voted. I'm simply saying that this is unlikely to be the case. No more, no less. The very nature of the referendum didn't allow for any more nuance than that, which is perhaps why these things are setup to be advisory.

A quick scan over the to and fro would suggest quite a bit of bear-poking going on, rather than an attempt to partake in meaningful discussion. Seems at odds with the spirit of the board if you ask me.

Can't really partake in meaningful discussion when falsities are being pedalled as facts constantly, people are being accused of 'not respecting the result' because they didn't vote for it and facts and conjecture are one and the same.

It was advisory the ballot paper went through parliment in favor of 6-1 - now the new PM has stated she will negotiate
Brexit why all the fuss??????????????
No one is possibly trying to undo leaving the EU are they?
Very few MPs would openly vote against invoking article 50 as they are afraid that this will be seen as undemocratic. But a lot will try and influence proceedings via the negotiating avenue by trying to impose conditions that would be unacceptable to both the EU and the leave voters. That could scupper negotiations with EU initially and will lead to an early GE. In my view, that will backfire massively on the remain supporters as I expect the Tories to get in with a big majority and have a lot of support in Parliament from a big increase in UKIP members.

So ultimately, although the remainers may get initial success it will work out worse in the long term as Govt get full control over the negotiations.

To change the topic slightly, those who (like me) are among the 1.3 million of Brits living and working in the EU might like to keep an eye on the Euro MP Charles Goerens, who is trying to raise support for an EU associate membership for those who have been disenfranchised by their own country and had their rights removed without representation.

I've had a couple of emails back from his staff, who say he has been staggered by the response and support he has received for his proposal.
