Pete, I won’t be lectured by an English man on democracy. I cite the 1921 election and the refusal to implement the democratic will of of the populace.

I have never colonised anywhere. You have probably never been a freedom fighter. We just happen to live in this age with history that went long before us. I don’t give a crap about it. It wasn’t me and it wasn’t you. We have to make the best of what we have for ourselves and our families. I will lecture you or anyone else on democracy because that’s all we have. When the day comes where NI votes to rejoin the ROI I will wish you all well. Meanwhile the U.K. voted to leave the EU and I would hope that this vote is also respected......

We elect a parliament - a government is formed from the elected representatives of the parliament. We don't elect a government, ever.

I‘m just glad you actually admit we should have a government, because we don’t at the moment, so perhaps we should have an election to get one. Either that or all the parliamentarians from those elected representatives you mention should form a government. So what’s it to be a GE or a vote of no confidence. But you know the answer don’t you.....

We've had a GE since the referendum - the electorate rejected the governments approach and returned a reflective parliament.

You do not respect the sovereignty of that parliament.

Therefore, you are prepared to cause "chaos" if parliament makes a decision you don't like.

You are undemocratic.

You can get angry and call "bullshit" as much as you like - everything I've said is an indisputable fact.

That isn’t the reality though Pete. The Brexit vote changed my reality.

You talk lovingly of your granddaughter and your sons and you are blessed.

I am a Father to 2 sons in a post conflict zone that remains a tinderbox. They have no concept of the war but Brexit is slowly but surely educating them in the playground and on the news.

Talk of a ‘surrender act’ and ‘betrayal’ is more powerful that you intend
