So it was mentioned then.....

You did a copy and paste where it was included in passing as part of an explanation of article 50. Nowhere did it explain that achieving a deal under it would be infinitely harder than doing so as part of an orderly withdrawal, and you certainly haven't made that point at any point in the last three years. You're beginning to sound as slippery as Johnson is Pete.

I didn’t claim to have made the point you are on about. I claimed to have been aware of the contents and meaning of the particular EU articles involved and you have now confirmed that I even quoted them. I wasn’t trying to be clever, merely responding to your suggestion that I hadn’t read the appropriate EU articles...which I patently had........

Just 3 points from your reply.

Do you not value the right for your family to travel freely and , under certain conditions, live and work in any of 27 other European countries.

Re NATO. That's like the Foreign Legion of the U.S. military. Safer? Who other than those Washington war mongers would put tanks and missiles on the Russian borders in the Baltic region? Can the UK military do anything without the approval of the Pentagon?

You'd rather belong to the USA than to the EU? Should we leave the EU, I believe the Americans would swoop like vultures on our remaining institutions and businesses, asset strip them and leave whatever is left of the UK with the US colony status of Costa Rica.

My family can travel freely whether in or out of the EU. Two of my children work and have taken up permanent residency abroad, neither of them within the EU. The delights of working or living in Germany, Poland or wherever somehow don’t figure highly with my lot.

NATO has tanks and the U.K. and the USA have put troops into the Baltic region at the request of those countries. The EU by contrast has attempted to destabilise Russia by trying to bring Ukraine within its bloc, with loss of life being the result. If the negotiations with the EU have proven anything it is that they wish to bully and I believe they would be exactly the same with an EU military. The U.K. fought a war in the Falklands without anyone’s approval. In other instances we act with our allies either within NATO or just with the USA, our closest allies in every respect.

The USA and the U.K. have a natural bond and the same language. We tend to agree more than disagree on most things. We have similar values both for democracy and the rule of law......

Gun laws, death penalty and building walls to keep Mexicans out.

BBC....

The government is in "pretty good shape" to cope with a no-deal Brexit, the head of civil service has said.
Speaking at an event organised by the Institute for Government, Cabinet Secretary Sir Mark Sedwill said there had been "a lot of preparation".
He said: "We have got the government in pretty good shape and public services in pretty good shape for it".....
You've spent months telling us how crap, traitorous, inept, reaminaing saboteurs that civil servants are.

Have you now had a change of heart?

Either we leave on October 31st or it won’t matter, his political career would be over and that of most conservative MP’s....
So we carry on with another lame duck Tory MP trying to figure out the way through Brexit.

Then we have Farage again saying 'let me have a go' when he knows it will be a disaster (and he knows he won't get anywhere near it anyway) but either way it won't matter, he will make a killing.

Back where we started.

Boris will either get us out with no deal or the Eu will find a way to provide him with an acceptable deal.....

This is an ever moving platform for you Pete. 'He's finished if he doesn't get us out by 31st October' has morphed into him having us leave with no deal or the EU granting us an acceptable deal.

Out if interest what is an acceptable deal? And to who?
