Oh sure. Point I was making was to try to group leavers into a few unscientific groupings, and the disenfranchised/ignored may well have voted leave cos live is pretty crap as it is. But you can bet your bottom dollar that when/if things do get worse for them, they wont blame Brexit.

Why should anyone blame Brexit. Japan is not in the EU, Canada is not in the EU, why do you believe that the U.K. has to be in the EU to be successful ?.....

I have never said outside the EU we wont be successful. I have said from day 1 that I voted to stay cos on balance, its fine. I also said I didnt have a clue what voting to leave would even mean, so making a leap of faith based on a campaign fronted by the likes of Boris, Rees Mogg and Farage seemed a pretty stupid risk to take.

And so far, not one thing has happened to change my mind.

As for the point you didnt actually address in your response, which was if/when things turn bad, those who voted to leave certainly wont blame themselves. It will, as ever, be everyone elses fault.

Because if ever the U.K. goes tits up it will not be the fault of Brexit. It will be the fault of those managing the country and managing the wealth generators within the country. Conditions change all the time, economic, political, even environmental, and it it how we react and manage the current and future conditions that counts, not being in the EU ......

Fair point. But for millions of folk lower down the age and wealth path than some, any short term hitches would hit them hard. You have said you are ok with that. I would prefer not to gamble with other peoples livelihoods.

Nor me, that’s why I wanted everything prepared for us to leave. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine May and our Civil Service to make a complete arse of it as they have. I have no doubt that our companies and businesses will be ready, as indeed they prepared to leave at the end of March anyway, but our political class and the morons overseeing this have screwed up. But maybe that’s been their plan all along......

Well, you made your own bed I am afraid. Like I said, I didnt believe a word that Boris etc said, so on balance, I didnt think it was a risk worth taking. Only yesterday he was telling his adoring sheep that we could have different kipper rules once out of the EU. The EU didnt even make the rule, we did.

And you trust him to do what exactly?

I trust him to present a vision of what could be, to provide the energy and oomph to drive the country forward. I trust him to put others in place to actually manage it......

The man you want to lead the country was foreign secretary under May, and all available evidence suggests he was utterly shambolic during Brexit negotiations, with he and his fellow Brexiteers Fox and Davis showing utter contempt for the whole proceedings. Has it dawned on you that perhaps May took over precisely because the three men in the key Brexit departments had made such an utter pigs ear of things and were harming Britain's standings on the world stage so incredibly?

You say repeatedly that when we leave that no one will be able to take the blame but us, yet you show repeatedly that you don't practice what you preach at all, as time after time you blame anyone and everyone but your fellow Brexiteers. So you'll forgive me if I take your urgings that the far right of the Tory party will ever be blamed for anything at all with a very large pinch of salt.

Bruce, has it occurred to you that both both Boris and Fox were sidelined and that May and her Chancellor took over....
