I'd say higher than that
I agree. It really annoys me that people say l... 'nobody voted for a no deal' I voted the leave the EU knowing a no deal was the likeliest option.
I'd say higher than that
I think you'll find mate that there are 2 probable scenarios in which they will agree to an extension (assuming none of the 27 member countries veto it which still could happen). He's just been piped right down by Dr Lewis hahahaha
I'm no lawyer. I just read stuff about potentially extending mandates etc. I'd imagine if the delay is lengthy then the elections are inevitable.
Wouldn't bank on it...
IMHO I think alot of people are in for a huge shock in two weeks time.I think you'll find mate that there are 2 probable scenarios in which they will agree to an extension (assuming none of the 27 member countries veto it which still could happen).
Firstly, if May has got agreement to her deal (or some deal) by next week they'll agree a short term extension just to give both side more time to get things over the line.
If not, to avoid going out on a no deal, the chances are they will agree a longer extension until the end of 2020 when the current 7 year financial cycle ends. This would give the UK time to rethink their position, organise a second referendum or a general election, and come to a consensus one way or the other. That would involve the UK taking part in the European elections in May and I really don't think they want that.
You don't think they'll take place?
If we agree a very long delay then it's hard to see them not happening.
Do you choose not to read up on this stuff or just ignore it? Regardless of the form of Brexit, we will struggle in the short term and very likely the long term. We won’t have trade agreements in place if we leave with no deal. So tariffs, customs delays etc etc drive up price and lower supply.Think you need to grow a pair. That's scare mongering at its finest! Lots of countries survive and prosper without being part of the EU.
Explain to me again ... How will our economy tank? Why will insulin be in short supply? Will they stop producing it? Why will we have difficulty exporting things?
So you just choose not to provide me with any facts on why Brexit (of any form) will be better?Oh i'l be in the thread.
I would expect MP's to put the opinions of their constituents to one side as this was a national voteI wouldn't use that terminology, but I suppose it falls to the question of if you think your MP is representative of the constituency or a delegate for them.
I expect my MP to exercise their judgement on issues and I take a broad veiw of their political belief. I don't expect them to canvas opinion in a direct democracy style.
What about the potentially very large number of people who would want to leave but not with Theresa May's deal?
That's the issue with your point. I reckon 20% + of the electorate would prefer a no deal.
As I've said I don't think it will be better..in the short.. This is a long gameSo you just choose not to provide me with any facts on why Brexit (of any form) will be better?
Just saw it
What a mess!
I would expect MP's to put the opinions of their constituents to one side as this was a national vote
They’ve just voted for it. And they’ve voted against leaving with no deal. There’s the evidence. The EU will agree to an extension unless May takes the piss.In 2 weeks? Good luck with that. Absolutely no evidence it will be changed unless the EU agree to an extension
