The thing is mate like I asked yesterday who campaigned for that . Everyone now seems to say out means out but as far as I can remember it see nobody of substance was advocating a no deal Brexit during thr campaign . All the major leave campaigners were talking about staying in the single market and EEA deals biut now that seems an anathema to everyone . I just wonder when it happened .
don't know mate, as i have said never thought it was really going to happen myself.
can see why people saying it as it gives an edge to bargaining positions.
suppose its the easiest way to convey your resistance to the EU.
to be honest i have a bit of an anarchist streak in me so it holds no fear for me, wouldn't mind the system getting brought down if we could in the long run get a more equal, less monetary obsessed society , but thats me not using my realistic side.

Yeah, as you say, that's not realistic. Low-income families and those most vulnerable in our society will suffer first and suffer the most. The rich will be fine. Look a JRM, for example, moving his investment fund to Dublin and have the actual brass balls to explain to his clients that a no-deal would 'increase costs' and cause uncertainty.

And who will they blame for this? Not the eejits that voted it, not the politicians that brought it about nor the big-money lobbyists that pushed lies; they'll blame the EU (and probably foreigners too)

more of a recognition of my own faults really than anything else, not really based on reality of what will happen.

Really? Jeremy Corbyn goes with the flow? I don't think you would find a man in politics who stands by his principles so stubbornly.

Must be inate reaction, it's raining I'm wet Corbyn fault that is , the sun is shining I'm burnt, Corbyn fault that is. Maybe some kind of political psychological projection from another or maybe once fixed political beliefs are now challenged and scrutinised which in turn is being projected onto Corbyn, much of it does not make sense.

Is that even true though? I'd like to think so but there are a lot of remainers who either believe that it is undemocratic to have another vote/overturn the 2016 vote, or have been lead to believe so by the loud mouthed Brexiteers who scream betrayal if their directionless 2016 Brexit is not carried out.

Either way it would be very close, it's just a lose lose situation however you look at it.

I’ve been thinking about how this is going to pan out...

It seems May isn’t going to compromise on any of her red lines and is going with the ‘my deal or no deal’ ultimatum. As labour can’t accept either of those options they’re going to have to come cross party solution with Tory rebels. As the majority in parliament are against no deal then to avoid this they will end up agreeing on a people’s vote. Remain or no deal. Remain will win as most people don’t want no deal. Labour will be painted as the party that destroyed Brexit, Tory’s get away with creating the whole mess. A general election will be called and the Tory’s will win by a massive majority because brexiters feel betrayed by Labour. May feels smug because although she’s stepped down she’s got everything she actually wanted in the end anyway.

Thoughts?
