its about workers right this one Bruce, EU are bastions of those I am told so lets see them sort it.
Not are fight anymore we are not in the club soon don't make the rules, they can get along fine without us, we are told every day?
lets blame brexit , yep I am sure Andalucía ect voting the far right in had a lot to do with that, not the glorious EU for creating the environments that allowed them to flourish.
.
Also brexit had many left wing voter labour voters and backing of unions like the RMT so the link to the far right around Europe is a bit flimsy to say the least, it wasn't and never was a far right vote in the UK
What's next Brexit blamed for Coleman's drop in form in form because he is worried about the backstop
Hasnt stopped anything at the back for us all season mate

What were May and Juncker talking about so animatedly today?

Happen he was explaining what the EU stance is right now, after yet another tumultuous week in Brexit era Westminster.

Ahem......

Mr. Juncker....We never understood what it was you so desired that you were prepared to endure years of economic winter to get it.

But you have pressed on regardless, egged on by chancers and opportunists.

Why is sovereignty such an issue when the Germans, the French, the Italians, the Spanish, seem to be quite comfortable with being themselves and being in the EU?

You had years, decades even, to influence what the EU would be. But you always behaved like there was a faintly unpleasant smell.

We have done our best to accommodate you in whatever follows, but in the end if you are unhappy with that, then so be it.

So get on with it, if that is what (some of you) want.

We have spent enough time trying to please you and now we will get back to what matters to us.

Can you leave your keys please?

Toodle pip, old girl :bye:

Mrs. May...What a disaster :(

...i’m convinced it could but it needed an enlightened leader. The cross-party Standing Committees work so well and it’s is surprising how members work with colleagues across the House. May’s approach has been divisive, there is a cross-party majority for a soft Brexit solution (remain in the Cutoms Union, Single Market etc).
Harold Wilson would have sorted it - told them where to put their pipe and smoke it!

Maybe that is more of a reflection of the reality of the situation they were tasked with dealing with, and/or a reflection on their collective ability.

And they are the folk you want to "make our own rules"
No but we can vote them out every five years - the EU we are in it for life if you read posters wishes on here.....

Yeah he’s positively glowing about it

"So it’s true it’s not going to be the end of the world but it’s not going to be a walk in the park either. It is going to be a bumpy road. How bumpy it’s going to be will depend on many things including on the outcome of the negotiations with the EU."
It seems not that bumpy negotiating with the EU in fact it quite costly ..........

One person talking facts and figures the other talking about our biggest export being “pessimism “ and we need to be realistic about “short term challenges and long term opportunities “ . Even without the second bit , one with facts and one with feelings , you can tell without properly listening whose who .
problem with those wto rules is a!though most of the world trades with them, is you can ignore them , for Instance the famous chlorine chicken under there rules we and the EU shouldn't be able to ban them as there is no proven health and safety case to do so, but as you know we dont import them, its the same process the we and the EU use on most prepacked salads .
there are a few different articles out there giving different views on the subject WTO rules, bit boring to be honest when you actually read the rules, most of them seem to be set up to aid emerging counties to get deals and not get ripped off.
they have set up an arbitration committee that seems to be doing a good job in fairness.
dont know if i am reading it right but yes we could trade under those rules, but until we had trade deals in place it could be tricky for some sectors with higher tariffs .
who knows whats going on anymore i certainly dont.

I could tell by the way you opened a stocking thread commenting on a woman serving you wearing stocking that sexism was something you abhorred you must have been rocked to the core . If we don’t crack down on it Next thing you know people will be drinking in places where women are objectified like hooters or treated like something you knock off a scoreboard continent by continent .

Stay strong

Exactly.
