Joey - what if say Boris was leader instead of May. He and his cabinet spent last 2 years getting best deal they could and the result was say staying in single market, paying maybe €10billion a year but limited freedom of movement. Would you accept that as the will if parliament? I'm trying to get at what part of our parliamentary democracy you don't like?
I think Joey is totally correct in questioning Parliamentary Democracy (although our political views are polar opposites)
Every Party publishes a pre-election manifesto that on gaining power goes straight out of the window,to be replaced by the wishes and aspirations of the murky figures who bankroll said parties.

what do we think will happen next lads?
i am going for Mays deal to get beat, a second referendum and staying the EU at the last minute with a few titbits thrown in to make it look like the UK has got something out of the two years

...i’ve been saying all along that common sense will prevail and May’s deal will be ditched in favour of a cross-party approach that will agree a soft Brexit deal. That deal will isolate ERG and will get a majority in the House.

It’s called diplomacy and statesmanship.

Pretty much this. Then we act all sheepish at big European summits like someone at a house party that no one knows very well and hasn’t bought any beer.
The whole sorry affair will be swept under the Carpet but the standing of British politicians and politics will be irreparably damaged.

...as i’ve said, the Standing Committees work very well and they’re made up of politicians from various party’s and I know there is a lot of working together and friendship across the House. Amber Rudd has come out this morning and suggested the approach i’ve been advocating, i’m sure this is happening behind the scenes.

I think there will be behind the scenes discussions between May and Labour MP's who want a second referendum between now and when Parliament reconvenes after Christmas. She will offer them a vote in the house on a second referendum if/when her deal is voted down by Parliament. In return the Labour MP's will not vote against her in the inevitable vote of confidence after her deal gets thrown out. The choice on the second referendum will be her deal or remain in the EU. By doing this she will finally ditch the leave with no deal Tories and the DUP. I think that even she has now realised that there will be no compromising with these people so it will be better to cut them out completely. The overall position will be civil war within both main parties and probably us staying in the EU.

Just because 75 percent of our Parliment are trying to block democrocy.......

The 17.4 million won't be happy. There is no deal that would make the vast majority of them pleased, apart from pulling up the drawbridge completely. This is why I can't see a soft version working as almost everyone universally agree that instead of being dictated what laws we have to abide by, we may as well be still in the EU acting like a big handbrake where we can.
