I think the list of countries that trade purely under WTO rules is the likes of Sudan , South Sudan , Sao Tome & principle , Somalia , the Holy See and the likes but I’m sure we’ll buck the trend .

Say it’s amazing though say not it’s the thing that everybody says it’s is . What about the border ? Because mfn means we’re at serious risk of legal action from everyone if we don’t erect a hard border , of course EU rules say we have to have one anyway so that wto and Eu .

Simple fact.

If the WTO is so good for business and their rules so easy to implement, why do countries around the world go to great lengths to secure trade deals with each other?

The WTO is such a weak argument in favour of Brexit yet it is a central plank of retorts of the know nowts on message boards who swallow the lies hook, line and sinker.

I’ll be honest it seems so glaringly obvious .

I’d suspect it’s because it’s so obvious that before the vote Hannan , farage and Patterson spent so long telling us we didn’t have to leave the single market or could be like Norway and Switzerland. Now of course that’s unconscionable.

Perhaps read it again, and whilst doing so perhaps consider why the author didn't give one single example of a country doing exactly what he's proposing, given it's apparently such a good idea?

It's almost like he's talking about theory from a preset biased position, isn't it?

That'd be because he is.

Here's a guy who explains exactly why his article is theoretical nonsense, from a position of having experience within the WTO system.

This is called deeper reading. Too many people read one thing on the internet and take it as the absolute truth and don't bother to ask why the thing is saying what it is saying.

It's why we're in this mess because too many people didn't stop and consider the pros and cons of the situation, instead preferring to read a lie on the side of a bus or a poster of migrants storming the borders and take it as gospel truth.

The EU will want to make trade as fluent as they can, even without a deal, we buy more from them than we sell.

All this there will be a shortage of food, medicine etc is just project fear in full effect.

And for the record I wanted a deal, but the deal being offered is shocking, the fact the EU have been arseholes to deal with and shown a total lack of respect for us has made me and a lot of other folk think enough is enough.

Just seen the way Juncker held onto May during their 'frank' discussion. Sexist pig.

I could tell by the way you opened a stocking thread commenting on a woman serving you wearing stocking that sexism was something you abhorred you must have been rocked to the core . If we don’t crack down on it Next thing you know people will be drinking in places where women are objectified like hooters or treated like something you knock off a scoreboard continent by continent .

Stay strong
