That's not true in the slightest. Ok I agree you are more likely to see a Barnet flag at the England game, but that is because the likes of Liverpool fans are more likely to wear a Spain top today than an England one. Why? because they see England as a hindrance, fact they have one player in the squad, and 2 in their club squad speaks volumes for the club.
I would have thought Everton and it's multitide of English talent at senior and youth levels would adhere them to the English team. Despite us not having regular starters at the moment, we will do and we will do for some time to come.

Truth of the matter is, England is for the players own personal gratification as I dont know many scousers who have much pride in being English.
Its about the player fufilling their own little fantasties and self promoting their career further. Oh, and their birds are desperate to be WAGS and all the adulation that comes with it.

Ok, that kind of attitude with the Wags has only come into fruition in the past 8 years.
I don't really want to get into the Scousers hate England debate. If it's not for them, then they needn't apply - you know what I mean?
Nobody is forcing anyone to follow England. But whatever people may think of England and it's players, (and to be honest Capello is instilling a no-ego allowed policy), the International level of football is the highest accolade a footballer can earn.
Matt Le Tissier, great footballer, well not great because he won **** all, a technically gifted player with the potential to be the best English midfielder ever. Because he never did it on the world stage, he would never know how good he could have been, or how much success he could have had.
