Elstone/new stadium

Like i say mate a greater capacity will eventually pay for itself. There will be borrowing anyway a stadium isnt like borrowing for players or wages in the sense that it adds value to the club.

Thats why the club are looking for "a private investor". This being that the value of the club will increase with a higher revenue stream due to the stadium ...

thereby the investor gets a return either way. liquidating the later share value or a slice of the revenue stream.

But again Neiler - you're right mate.

This is what Elstone said they're looking for.

Am I the only person slightly worried that we can't afford a decent stadium, and we'll end up with some utterly [Poor language removed] one like they had planned for Kirkby?

Cheers Mat!

Its the way to go mate, im sure the cost of Goodison was expensive when it was built - but it seems like peanuts now and we have gotten decades of usage out of it and made so much money.

Although Arsenal took on over 300mill in debt for the Emirates its looking a bargain, with them soon to Skyrocket in the table of the world richest clubs. But more importantly they are self sustainable. Something, Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool etc are not.

A stadium has a return in that it generates income, if we stay in it for 100 years its a bargain and worth taking on debt for, though the devil is in the detail.

so how many £34k seats do you reckon we could shift then that they sell ? How many corporate boxes can carcraft/ tj morris and merseyrail shift ? we haven't got the corporate base in the area, and they would end up getting sold off on the cheap on matchdays just to get something back.

I pay £28 in the fam enc. mate so I cant see how these 'Family deals' can be any cheaper, and if I'm buying my s.t. in april then I'll be pretty brassed off if they then started dropping prices on matchdays.
btw I have bought 1 bovril in the stadium this season, thats it...total.
only progs were when my daughter was in it.
bought a bit from the megastore but only when vastly reduced.

i'd estimate that Everton have had approx £1k from me over the season, but that may include away tickets as well.

Everything depends on the product you offer mate, better facilities, European Football, every city has multi nationals and local buissness's who would be intrested.

I didnt say cut prices, i was thinking more of restructureing, why not have a family ticket for say £400 - £600 in the encloure which gaurentess say three seats, im sure it was be pretty easy to poilce. Like i say its about thiking outside the box in term sof marketing and packagine for the reasons stated above.

So there you have it mate, you bought stuff for your daughter when she was with you - its the case in point, you drop more in the stadium if your with your wee ones, there is defo a market there IMO.

Anyway id defo do the 60.000 - to be expanded to 80.000.

well it's £550 nowadays on the early bird so £400 to £600 for an adult and 2 kids would be a reduction.
I didn't buy my daughter anything when at a game either, one of them goes with me to every game and I get them a drink from bargain booze and a bag of crisps.
The lad got a shirt for xmas and she only got 1 cos she was going in the dressing room (they didn't give her one btw), I don't spend inside the ground cos it would start to get too expensive, a hot-dog and drink each at every game would be around £300 over a season. I don't get progs cos that would add another £120-150 over the season, if I was going as a 1 off then maybe but not when we go every week. I'd rather spend the money for those things on going to away games and cup games, a lot in the family enc. don't get the cup tickets as they don't want the extra expense, especially league cup and euro games as they are at night and too late for a lot of kids.

we would never on gods earth need 80,000 and if these tories get in then we wont need 60k

look at the figures for the mid 80's mate and it was about £3.50 to get in.

It's in Stanley Park, the r/s are going to Waterloo and we are sticking a mega-netto somewhere on Kemlyn Rd.

From the banks of the Mersey
& even from Kirkby
at least we don't come from Oslo !!

I think that's what kopites'r'gobs1tes kept singing at the spellow.... he was slurring a bit.

Follow, follow, follow.
Everton are the team to follow.
From the banks of the Mersey, to the heights up in Kirkby.
An it's better than being from Oslo..!!

that keioc lid hasn't been around of late to put everything down that they haven't come up with, no doubt he will be back to lay claim when there is an announcement though and they've finished the back patting and self congratulatory stuff.

Andy Burnham will sort it all out when he's the new prime minister, and he makes being a kopite illegal.
