The RS, United and other important games, 60k wouldnt be a problem, but I would say 90% of games there would be spaces, our average attendances back up that thoery, awaits the crys of restricted seating.

You would obviously sell out the bigger ones, personaly i would reduce prices for the Wigans etc get the mad dads and kids in, like i say get the people in the stadium- makes total sense.

I was not commenting on Elstone's words.

I was just mentioning that a prime location is about to become available, due to McBurneys about to relocate.

I assume you know where the McBurneys site is?

Mr Damon. You really do lose yourself on tangents sometimes.

tut tut

What are you on about?

I just said - Elstone's just said it's not a a question of site. Ego - plenty of sites are available.

And that he said it's financing that is an issue.

Tut tut indeed.

We should be aiming for 50,000, Sell Out is a much better phrase than Barely full.

You'd want to be able to do staged-upgrades, including corner fill in and additional tiers to boost it.

i.e. stage II would be 55000 and stage III 60000/65000.

Wind your neck in, honestly do you wake up in the Morning and think "I wonder how many people I can talk down to today", in short, your a bad weapon.

It's only £28 for an adult and kid on an s.t. at the moment, cant see them going lower than that, plus you could build a bigger stadium and get more people through the doors but if they are oap's and kids then the income doesn't really rise.

I'm all for making it cheaper though, but it has to tranfer to the s.t. holders as well, none of this last minute reductions business.

As things currently stand mate we have to think outside the box and not think like we are still in Goodison. As you say, i think we could fill 60.000 - if say there was a family enclosure and did special deals for parents who want to bring kids to matches (family season ticket), better disabled facilites, student rates, school rates, OAP and foster Everton in the heart of the community for the marginal games. Id look at it as a bit of a loss leader reduced rates in the community due to greater capacity - lets face it its not only the price of the ticket, its hotdogs programees, merchandiseing etc, you will always drop more at the game then just the price of the ticket - over the course of a stadiums life a greater capacity will eventually pay for itself. This approach would also be fostering a sense of what Everton is, in the community, marketing for the future and growing blues for the next generation.

Either way the real money would come from corporate facilites.

Yes thats all well and good Neiler lid, but our prices are already rock bottom, you cant lower them anymore and still hope to make a profit.

I agree.

Right, i think i'm looking at the McBurney's site now.

Is it the one with the Leeds/Liverpool canal going by it?

And is it really a definate goer?

Cause it means I can't walk to it anymore :(
