Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

Mangala has played left back before. So he'll be used in a back four, or a back three when required. Shut out a bit at City but a very good defender. 'Better than what we've got' definitely.
He could well be an improvement on what we have. I don't know as I feel Keane has been hampered by his injury lately and is also shot of confidence.

What I do know is that, whenever we play City, I always feel as though we have a chance when Mangala is in the city line up.

He does have decent pace though so will allow us to defend higher up against the poorer teams. You just know Allardyce wont though.

Would be hapoier if it was a 6 month loan than a perm.

He must surely be signing to play left back. We already have five centre backs on our books (albeit 3 of them woeful).

Coleman - Holgate - Keane - Mangala looks a damn sight better than Kenny - Holgate - Williams - Martina

Mangala is strong and has a good left foot. If all he's asked to do is stop crosses and held us retain possession he'll be a massive step up from Martina.

This is grim but doesn't surprise

Only hope is we get some improvement at the back same as Sahko brought to Palace when Sam brought him in

I cannot see Sam playing that lineup at all mate Keane he doesn't trust, I cant believe Mangala has been Brought into go left back.

Sams just a whopper basically (soz about your name hahaha)

It will probably be a loan until the end of the season, according to Sky. Makes sense, he cost City £42 million and they'll want most of that back !!

Could the pair of Jagielka and Williams be leaving us today? Both out on loan with a view to a permanent deal or being released in the summer?

No, of course not. We won't be playing them but will keep paying both of them 70k a week for nothing. We have Holgate, Keane and Mangala all fully fit, and Mori who'll be back fit within a month for the final 10 games.

But nah, we still desperately need our captain fantastics.

Who exactly is going to be knocking down the door to take a Jags/Williams off our hands? Other teams in the prem? Unlikely, they can see how poor they’ve been. Championship team? Wages will put a stop to that. Can’t see either ever going abroad.
We might end up with 6 centre backs if/when Mori is fit, but as said, jags and Williams just aren’t up to it so why are you considering them as options?
Think people are also forgetting that Mori was a total liability. Looked great for 70mins of a game, most dangerous defender when we had a corner maybe, but you were always waiting for his calamitous moments that’d lead to a clear chance for the opposition.

Mori is not the saviour. He’s just got a left foot.

Mangala looks a bit like another Mori to me...

Mate, don't underestimate clubs being soft enough to think they are great captains with a wealth of experience at the top level. I expect both players are professional enough to realise they're done here and need to move if they want to play. Hell, we could even subsidise their wages for them to take a step down. Rather lose them and pay them 20k a week to join a Championship team.

Mori imo can come good for us. Obviously you don't become a regular for Argentina if you're as bad as you're suggesting he is.

My only hope, and this is my straw clutching moment - because I feel pretty bleak about it all right now....

The club have decided not to give Allardyce more money because he'll be gone in the summer.

However, I am totally expecting Allardyce to be doing this come march
