What did people expect? Us to sweep in and get Varane or Umtiti? Seriously who would be met with approval by this forum? Is he better than Jags and Williams? Undoubtedly. Therefore what’s the problem?
I am very pleased with us hopefully getting him. What did people expect? Us to sweep in and get Varane or Umtiti? Seriously who would be met with approval by this forum? Is he better than Jags and Williams? Undoubtedly. Therefore what’s the problem?

Mate, don't underestimate clubs being soft enough to think they are great captains with a wealth of experience at the top level. I expect both players are professional enough to realise they're done here and need to move if they want to play. Hell, we could even subsidise their wages for them to take a step down. Rather lose them and pay them 20k a week to join a Championship team.
Mori imo can come good for us. Obviously you don't become a regular for Argentina if you're as bad as you're suggesting he is.
It is City you are talking about, who bid 55m yesterday for a player because Sane will be out for six weeks. If he wasn't crap you could argue why have City bought Stones, Otamendi and Laporte since they signed him.
It still would.Kone looked a more than decent stopper under Allardyce, since he left Sunderland not so much.Mangala won't be expected to play it out from the back,so maybe he just might work out.Going back a few years ago bringing Huth in would have got a similar response.
Gravy Guzzling Sam is almost complete in getting all our young talents out of the side, our last victory.....the 3-1 victory against swansea, was based on a second half axis of Davies, Lookman, Kenny, Holgate & DCL all combining well, they know each other, they know how each other play, they stuck up and thought for each other.
Our win at Newcastle, Tom Davies wasteing time to fix his alice band, DCL kicking the ball away to receive a booking, Davies & DCL keeeping the ball in the corner, doing what seasoned profesionals should be doing...........we were all lauding them
With Tosun taking DCL's place, Davies seemingly dropped, same with Lookman, only Kenny and Holgate left......Mangala to step in and take Holgates place and Sam rushing Seamus back to get rid of Kenny!!!!!
Allardyce the F*&king Footballing dinosaur
