Donald Trump for President Thread

I get why some support trump , I don't agree but I get it and I certainly get why HRC is so unpopular but I don't get why someone of your apparent political ideology can seem pleased or even supportive of trump .

Watching trump be introduced by arch homophobe Pence who he's chose as his running mate , having listened to his clearly racist language and on into arguments we've rehashed before I can't reconcile it .

As I said I thought his speech was fairly Presidential and it did surprise me but i also remember Thatcher channeling St Francis of Assis .
There was no choice mate. Just a lot of froth and fairy tales from Clinton the Butcher of the Middle East and a 'sisters are doing it for themselves' campaign...not the sisters in Iraq who she's slaughtered with drone strikes, btw, or the sisters in rust belt communities who are walking to food banks because of the failure of the system she represents.

If this had been Sanders rejected today i'd be shocked and disappointed. It isn't. Trump = downtrodden America screaming to the top that they need to come up with something different. Unfortunately the champion they've chosen is one who doesn't have that change of direction.

Let me take a moment here to point out that in addition to the email issues addressed by James Comey yesterday, Mrs. Clinton has to still deal with the ongoing (and unmentioned) FBI investigation of the Clinton Foundation for corruption while she was the sitting Secretary of State. If you read his note carefully, you'll see that the scope of his statement does not address any questions regarding the Clinton Foundation, which is an investigation separate from the one concerning the bathroom server.

This won't keep her from getting elected, but it will be back to haunt her unless she decides to carry out her own "Saturday Night Massacre" along the way. You'll see many more references to Watergate in coming months and years to draw parallels to what you're seeing in real time.

Vault this.
Never mind.

I can't wait to see the billionaire property developer who made his name and fortune through the main stream media destroy the grip on the common man and woman by billionaire property developers and the main stream media....

:coffee:

Politics aside I'm surprised you want to see a more dominant and aggressive Putin which is the likely result of last night.

I think the opposite, Hillary was slating the Russians repeatedly and 'poking the bear'. Trump will likely have his people negotiate trade deals and compromise which is better than war.

I love you Dave.

'Obtuse' is hardly name calling.

Probability doesn't enter into it. Unless you're suggesting we have a cell of radicalized lorry drivers going round murdering cyclists.

If I'm dead, I won't really care too much about the motivations of the person that killed me. The fact remains that we are much more likely to come to serious harm on the roads than we ever are from a terrorist incident, so I would much rather attentions be focused on the areas that do the most good.

Not sure such an argument would pass academic muster Dave.

He isn't wrong, though - at least based on the experience we have had over here.

As an example, and since you mention academia, the people that HRC and her husband were mates with took our undergraduates from a position where they didn't pay tuition fees and got a grant (backed by small loans) to a position where they paid tuition fees and didn't get a grant (which had to be backed by large loans). The degree that I got into four grand of debt for would now cost my kid, if I had one, at least forty grand in debt and they would not find the opportunities I did after leaving, because they no longer exist.
