This just made me laugh out loud like a **** in the hairdressers. Bravo.

Ok, past few days has seen a dispute in here, and I can actually see both sides.

Firstly, I agree with Reidy that kids shouldn't be having stuff like this thrown at them at the match. Also, some of the replies he's had have not been pleasant, and there has been no need for that.

On the other hand, I think we all need to be realistic about the chants that are already established, as many are really relatively harmless - it didn't do me any harm and won't deter me from taking my child once old enough.

What I would ask is that rather than have petty, tit-for-tat exchanges via this thread or through rep, could we just agree to disagree please, as some of the stuff reported has been more unpleasant that the chants themselves.

I'd agree.

If someone next to me was repeatedly screaming the C word at the ref when I was with my little cousin, for example, I'd have a word, but swearing in songs and in frustration at a decision, for example, is part of what makes up an atmosphere and you can't get rid of that. If your kid can't deal with a bit of swearing or doesn't understand they shouldn't be doing it then don't take them.

Having said that I haven't got kids so I could be way off really.
