Milkman, backpass at Wembley.
Was a decent CB otherwise, wish we had him earlier in his career.

When Distin was playing there wasn't the great NBC coverage here that we have now.
We used to watch games in bars on live streams with Spanish commentary.
There was one game, cant remember against who, but Distin was having an outstanding game.
The commentator boomed "SIEMPRE DISTIN".
It kinda became our supporters club motto after that. "Boston Evertonians - Siempre Distin"

His recovery pace was brilliant, ridiculously fast for his size.

Sadly Wembley will overshadow the decent service he gave us..

When I think of Distin I don’t think of the big mistake, he was a great signing, incredibly reliable & he played a lot of football in some excellent Everton sides

Only player with any bottle during that era, other than Cahill and maybe Mirallas. I remember Gerrard elbowing Barry and he was only 1 who fronted Gerrard. Remember when he fronted fan, had video of him looking for fella, lost it when I got a new phone.

The milkman story, remember the fans singing Distin is the milkman when we had a corner at Morecambe away in pre season and Anichebe pissing himself

Sad that such a good player is reduced to that abiding memory, but that's his fate. In the big moment, well, it all went wrong. A microcosm of his manager, sadly. Unlike his manager, however, Sylvain can never put that right...

I remember him having a great game when we beat Chelsea one year, he set up one of Saha's goals.
