Did we ever put Moyes under Pressure

Nail on head mate. All that matters...literally ALL that matters...is that share price. They have a legal obligation to protect the interests of the owners of the shares.

They have lost about 15% of share value......25% would be curtains.

United are not a club. They are listed company. Nothing, not even Fergie can save him from hundreds of millions disappearing like fog.

Any sources for this drop in share price? Edit: Just found it.

I think the key is Champions League football, they get that and the investors will be appeased. Failure to qualify and you're quite right, it'll probably be goodbye Moyes.

Now I totally agree with all this....but it raises the question of how such a business entity (not club) let this happen in the first place. There are a lot of people who would've had to be involved to allow ferguson to appoint his successor without due process, and I'm amazed the conclusion was to allow someone who'd never won anything to be their manager to be honest, however well respected ferguson is. Probably shows how clueless the lot of them are about football really - blind faith.

On the subject of moyes and pressure here, didn't kenwright refer to him as his 'hero' or 'god' or some such utter rubbish? I'm sure I remember a quote along the lines of 'I wouldn't sack him even if he got us relegated' - too late to dig out quotes if it is indeed true.

Also, i think he'll turn it round, most likely finishing 5th above us, maybe CL semis but don't see top 4, Liverpool too strong this year.

And if he does get sacked, or it's looking that way, wait for the 'martinez and moyes sensational swap' stories, especially if we push hard for 4th and/or the cup!

I have actually thought about that myself!! no way on earth should Moyes ever be allowed back anywhere near Everton if we lost Roberto but it is the kind of thing the media would push for, Roberto deserves his chance...etc

only the 9th thread about Moyes today

It's funny to see United become rubbish overnight but it's kinda surprising. I woulda thought he'd make them difficult to beat and take a lot of the flair away, grind out results. He's lost the one thing he was good at, maybe showing his limitations at implementing his style of "expansive football".

i also just think united's squad just isn't that great. Their midfield always struggles and RVP/Rooney have been injured. Think Ferguson just got the most of them.

It's hilarious watching him squirm, He reminded me of the Bolton defeat in that dug out last night, completely lost and devoid of ideas how to turn it around. Go Dave haha

I just hope he hasnt been sacked before they play at Everton again, really looking forward to the cauldron Goodison will be that day

This. Though it could become the final nail in his coffin. He isn't out of the League cup yet, they have the home leg to come, does the away goal come into it??

I was a big moyes fan whilst he was here. I think sometimes you only get a true perspective when someone's gone and things ain't going bad so you can reflect properly.

IMO he's a good manager. His first five years with us were fantastic. I'll be forever greatfull for the mess he cleared up, saved us from possible falling down the leagues (Yes it was that close). He built the club up again, ok in a moyes way, was hardly school of science stuff but it was exactly what we needed at that time. We lost Rooney and then lescott but both times he used the cash to try make us stronger. We lost pienaar and arteta in a period with no money for investment in players and he gave up. That was the point he lost the belief and fire in his belly IMO.

Once he gave up the belief he could get us in the top 4 he should of gone. It's so refreshing seeing RM with all the belief and fire in his belly, but from a greater starting posistion than moyes had. Make no mistake tho...RM is looking like he's a very special manager.

As for moyes at utd, he'll have the fire in his belly and the belief he can win everything. I think he'll do well there and change his football phylosophy. They did him over good style in the summer, it's a poor squad of players past the class 4/5 players. There where tbh I'd expect a team of that quality to be without there main striker.

That squad of players is not as bad as some are making out. He isn't getting the best out of them. Anyway [Poor language removed] him he's gone.

In Martinez We Trust

good points but you're missing the point of this thread, the point is we never put Moyes under pressure here and its backfiring on him now as he not mentally prepared for it.

Who gives a **** about him anymore, he brain washed Evertonians with his negative ways. He played us all for fools and has tried to carry on doing this with some of his comments, ie "when I found out I got the united job I told Bill I would be back for some of the players" **** you ginger nuts.
