Did we ever put Moyes under Pressure

That post is amazing, totally spot on, no matter how bad we did in certain games people would just ignore his roll and moan about Kenwright and the players, shocking manager, just bugs me everyone thought it was acceptable for us to put up with him

Everyone didn't mate. During his last 3yrs his support on here havered between 70 and 50pc like.

Despite the pulling power of Manchester United, Moyes has lost two very important things that he had at Everton:

1. A chairman who stood by him through thick and thin.
2. The support of the best fans in the world.

These missing intangibles should not be underestimated when his Old Trafford epitaph is written.

His chairman hung him out to dry at ever transfer window.

As for the second one.... Not sure how you measure support.

Hopefully we can now put pressure on this current board to do something instead of burying their hands in the sand and hoping for the best.

Under pressure.

Anyone else see the Vine doing the rounds, Bobby Charlton turning to Fergie at the final whistle and shaking his head?

I'm starting to come on board with this. I think the lack of expectations he placed on himself over the last few years are costing him now.

Was the belief really there we could finish 4th/win a trophy, or did he think we'll give it a go but the chances are we'll fall short. Looks like the latter was his thought.

We had multiple chances to achieve it in the last few years. The door was wide open last year in February, 1 point off the top four, loads of sides underperforming. We were expected to start slowly so the pressure was off, so got off to a flyer. Suddenly people started to think of us as top four contenders in Feb.

And the minute that ANY sort of expectation was placed on us, what happened? In February, he flopped a game against relegation threatened Aston Villa, bottled it against United with a terrible effort and then polished it all off with an absolutely sensational defeat to Norwich.

By the end of February, all Champions League hopes had gone, but the FA Cup had opened up and we had a draw against Wigan at home who we were expected to beat. Expectations are there yet again. What happens? A David Moyes side doesn't turn up and we get hammered.

Same old, same old. The pattern was as incredible as it was predictable. When expected to win, he tactically bottles it as he doesn't know how to assert a gameplan on the opposition.

They don't have confidence in Moyes. There was a game this season at OT and they didn't even know who was on the corner FFS lol

Why that intimates he's lost the dressing room is beyond me. They need to look a bit closer to home for problems concerning their performances this season.

You haven't got a clue if that's the case, and if it is the players ought to be ashamed of themselves.

A number of players have criticised his training methods and approach (van Persie, Ferdinand), Vidic's agent said he he's not signing an extension, even Welbeck said something this week about how the team let the manager down and how that wouldn't have happened under Ferguson. It doesn't look good.

He's essentially told them they're all not good enough and that the season is a write off.

I'm sure that goes down well when it's a manager who has won absolutely nothing is talking about a squad who have just won the league by 11 points!

Re: that squad he's inherited, arguably a weaker one than UTD have ever had, Man u have been spoilt...

Who really gives a **** whether we put the ginger **** under pressure now or not, he's ****ed off and I for one am grateful!

We looked dead on our legs by Christmas. That squad needed investment, just to give everyone at the club some belief that we were ambitious enough to get 4th. Let's hope we've learned from our mistakes hey...

I wouldn't say he had issues winning when we were expected to win, just the pressure occasions when we REALLY needed 3 points to take control of 4th spot or win a cup quarter final against Wigan where he let himself down.
