DCL, Holgate and Davies

I agree. All 3 are great prospects and good players to have at the club. They certainly care about the blues unlike a few other members of the squad too!
Well said, Holgate and DCL have noticeably kicked on this season with DCL scoring more and Holgate providing solidity and pace to the back line, Davies just needs to add a bit more consistency to his game. Under Ancelotti they should all do well.

I feel a bit for Davies, he has had to play with terrible midfield this season ( Snides and Sigs) in there with a decent commanding midfielder, I’m sure we will see Davies improve a lot.

I am happy these three are getting a good run of games. They have improved muchly. Especially happy for Holgate. If they continue their improvement I see a good nucleus developing.
Pity JJK isn't with them.

I know you're not a fan Nymz but given the problems we've had at right back I reckon he would have been given a decent run too.

Similar thing at Chelsea with 4 or 5 of their young players getting a chance.

So Holgate and DCL have kicked on, Davies has been good just needs consistency, Bernard is class, Richarlison is different gravy, we have the England keeper, Digne is a class full back.

Errrr, the last I looked we are a pathetic 11th in the prem with 28 points from 22 games. Out of the 2 cups and this team participated in possibly the most humiliating defeat for the club in decades last Sunday.

Hope springs eternal but its hard to rationalise reality and what people actually think.

It’s not that I’m not a fan of him I’d just rather we bought someone more dynamic. He’s never been the best attacker and it’s such an important position these days for the attack.

3 decent English player who get the club although they need proper quality players around them in that team put a bunch of overpriced fringe players from other clubs in the mix and basically they are basic

Can see Holgate and DCL being starters or thereabouts for some time, Davies is a bit more touch and go but he’ll still make a very good squad player. Need to be keeping players like him around, squad game after all.

I suspect DCL is very much in Ancelotti's thoughts. He's fast, good in the air and he has developed a lot as far as bringing other players into the game
I'm not sure how fast he is, but I don't recall many occasions when he's left defenders trailing in his wake. The rest of, this is just not true. Watch him in a game. When he touches the ball he rarely retains possession or passes it to a team mate. He wins meaningless headers in the middle of the park when he just help the ball on to the oppositions centre backs. The desire for our youngsters (he's 22, not really that young in footballing terms) to be good shouldn't cloud our judgement. This smacks of rose tinted glasses. He'll be playing Championship football by the 21/22 season............let's just hope that it's not with us!

Absolutely bummed one of their defenders in a race last minute against Brighton as a most recent example.

I'd venture he might be the quickest player we have (probably Walcott is the only one who is going to run him close).

We will have to agree to disagree here because to my eyes I can see huge improvements in his link up play and neither of us are going to prove it one way or the other, but on this statement...

"He'll be playing Championship football by the 21/22 season............let's just hope that it's not with us! "

I'll direct you to what Carlo Ancelotti, 3 times Champions League winner as a manager, said about him last month...

"He's a fantastic striker in my opinion. Clever with the head. Clever in the box.Sharp. But he is young and for this reason he has to improve. He's a humble guy, he doesn't talk a lot. I think he is going to be at the top - in England, in Europe. He has all the qualities to be a top striker"

He didnt tho...he knocked it past him and then never managed to get round him...ended up giving away a free kick.

(I agree he's fast but lets not make stuff up!)
