Sadly that is a total impossibility now.

New manager wins three then loses one? SACK THEM. Two consecutive away draws? GET THEM OUT OF MY CLUB. It’s honestly anti-productive.

People want absolutely instant success and are simply not prepared to be patient. Either that or it’s loads of cases of “empty cans rattle the most”.

What is instant success. How patient must us fans be? What success did Moyes bring us in his first tenure? The honours list says NOTHING. In the meantime those soccer greats like Brighton, Brentford , Crystal Palace and now Sunderland are leaving us in their slipstream. At least these clubs are showing progress whilst we are slip sliding our way back to being fallen giants perhaps trying too hard to regain past glories.
Im purely and simply of the opinion that TFG are happy just to have us in the mix for a few games before settling back into mediocrity.

Moyes taking the TalkSport pundit job for the World Cup just adds to my concerns about him staying.

The World Cup lasts for 39 days, that is a lot of time not working on our issues and he’ll probably expect a couple of weeks of holiday off on top of it too.

The finances of our club aren’t great and losing out the last few games has literally costs us millions, if he wants to be manager he should be concentrating on us not padding his retirement with punditry.

It’s like he creating an alibi in case the recruitment goes wrong

1) Finish in the top 10
2) Have a cup run

He failed at both so he deserves to go.

Never thought I'd use the noun "grifter"on someone like Moyes, and I'm not but I'm getting there. During my years of being a fan of our club, only Martinez, Koeman and the FSW are deserving of that title imo. Mike Walker was woeful and the Gravy Sam years were surreal(ly nightmarish), I wouldn't call them grifters. Davey still has a lot of goodwill with some of us but we need to get rid asap before he takes us back to the dark ages again.

Was it eleven years of unbridled trophy successes or knife to a gunfight clichés. We got drunk on those didn't we. We tried but just couldn't get it over the line. And for the most, we got to accept that as the norm.

Even if you ignore everything else we need to recognize that the overall game has moved on to rewarding the effective management of a squad of players, not just a core first team. The best managers utilize their subs well and rotate the squad to avoid burnout, especially if you want to go deep into cups or Europe.

Moyes doesn’t even seem to have realized he has 5 subs he can use in a match, let alone have a plan for their use based on anything other than “at x minutes switch between the two strikers”.

But if we had won the league, playing total football, scoring 6 goals a game without reply. The u23s in the squad were called up to their full national teams due to being transformed into world class players through Moyes coaching.

Absolutely it's so strange coming from him as he had to be resourceful in recruiting during his first stint but when it comes to being resourceful with team selections or management, he completely lacks imagination and becomes predictable
