2025/26 David Moyes

Then we finish 14th. He's still not getting sacked. It would be moronic to sack the man who has delivered our best season in half a decade and so clearly improved us. Like him or not, he was brought in for stability and he's undeniably achieving it. With just one year left on his contract it would make zero business sense to get rid in the summer.
Business sense and managerial situations.
They dont really go hand in hand in the football world..

It will come down to meeting their expectations, which he will have done.
Accountability on the use of funds has to be questioned though.

The business sense would be not throwing out a new contract and seeing how next season progresses from this season.

Yesterday was a great feeling though, and much needed.
3pm kick offs just carry something different..

My worry with that is I'm not sure Moyes and our recruitment team are working in harmony. So players coming in may not be Moyes' choice and could possibly end up like Aznou, Dibling and Rohl.

Two legit fullbacks with top flight experience would transform us.

My sole biggest gripe with Everton. Even early home games this season with Grealish & Ndiaye. Nobody was really taking oppostion players away creating more space for them, even before you start talking about link up play between the wide players and fullbacks.
I refuse to believe we couldnt have done better than we have since lucas digne.

So what happens in here if we actually beat Burnley at home?
If we beat relegation-bound Burnley at home then this place will be filled with ‘I told you so’s - as if beating the second worst away record absolves us from our other numerous sub-par performances at home.

Going on a run of home performances is the only actual fix to the current discontent fan noise. IMO. Mad thing is you flip the records around (home and away) and there would be way less criticism (myself included).

You're going on and on and on mate but my opinion (and that's all it is, so I don't know why it bothers you this much) is that the owners won't sack him and it would be moronic to do so. You can either accept my opinion for what its worth or continue to go round and round in circles.

exactly people are scurrying round trying
to find anyway they can say for him to be

binned

it’s not happening

That's very often true, however I see no reason to suppose that Moyes isn't matching TFG's expectations. They picked a steady-eddy manager knowing what he'd deliver and he's doing exactly that. If they expected more from Moyes then I don't know what to say. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they aren't idiots like Moshiri and Kenwright and know what they're doing until they give me reason enough to say otherwise.

we should be. and it’s more we’re beating teams who’ve spent far more than us
over seasons. (away)

but you want to see your team winning at home
