2025/26 David Moyes

Colin Harvey 4th - 8th - 6th before being sacked in Nov 90 when we were 18th. Kendall came in and we finished 9th in 91. In following 12 years we had 1 top half finish (6th 1996) under Joe Royle until David Moyes in 2003 who had 8 top 8 finishes in 10 years.
DM finished one season just above the bottom 4 - Gregg BK partner in Blue Holdings wanted rid as we were moving to The Kings Dock which fell through - HK & CH won us a lot of silverware - DM like Gordon Lee won us nothing ....

DM has been sacked by 3 other clubs - a win is a win but if you think 34 % possession is entertaining football look at our home form - its not the new stadia its DMs team selections & his methods sadly -

Yes he has a limited squad , but he knew back in June we needed better full backs ....

If we beat relegation-bound Burnley at home then this place will be filled with ‘I told you so’s - as if beating the second worst away record absolves us from our other numerous sub-par performances at home.

Going on a run of home performances is the only actual fix to the current discontent fan noise. IMO. Mad thing is you flip the records around (home and away) and there would be way less criticism (myself included).

We're not good enough to be having it both ways though. 3 more home wins and we'd be 4th. We're not a top 4 team.

Of the 7 teams above us at the moment, there's only one team above us that couldn't have easily been predicted at the start of the season - Brentford. The other 6 above us, well, people would have said 'you' were insane if 'you' thought we'd finish above them.

Get your son and older brother in !

That's very often true, however I see no reason to suppose that Moyes isn't matching TFG's expectations. They picked a steady-eddy manager knowing what he'd deliver and he's doing exactly that. If they expected more from Moyes then I don't know what to say. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they aren't idiots like Moshiri and Kenwright and know what they're doing until they give me reason enough to say otherwise.
I'm not questioning what he's done, I am answering to a business sense point of view.
Everything should be accounted for, not just one slice of the pie.

That doesn't play any part on my opinions, that's business sense.

Some of that one touch passing yesterday was brilliant, we haven't seen much of that.
Enjoy yesterday Joey, there is no reason not to..

Some absolutely brilliant managers in this thread. They would have Dibling and George playing every week despite not knowing a thing about them or having seen their effort in training.
Fair play, it takes some doing.
We’ve seen enough of McNeil to knows he’s utter turd,
But seems to get plenty of minutes

But we spent 100 million......

Yeah us and 13 or so other teams did.
