2025/26 David Moyes

Grealish would be a very expensive short term sugar hit.
We might...if we could but find them...use his wages to pay 2 real players.
we dont want to be paying the 'Old Grealish'
We need to be finding younger versions - and pay them
Would rather the likes of Summerville and Fatawu types myself, even George if he shows a nit more before the end of the season.

Only if you think business is the be all and end all.
There's no guarantee that Bowen will be great for us either. You're assuming he'll just effortlessly fit in. And he started the season fairly averagely and has only come into form since the start of 2026. If it was a loan it might make sense but on a permanent then it would be poor business

Lots of debate over the true quality of our squad, but I can say with confidence that it's capable of better than that.
Totally agree mate but its shows that the current front 4 of Grealish (obviously he is out atm) KDH, Ndiaye, and Barry simply are not doing enough, and that applies to all of them as Barry is a bit of an easy target imo but it is clearly all of them.

There's a persistent inability to control a game. Rarely do I feel our midfield dictates the play.
I don't think any of the other midfielders actually enjoy playing with Gana, he makes a lot of extra work for them, taking them away from their actual duties to cover for his various escapades around the pitch. As others have stated it would be interesting watching us try a proper flat 3 in the middle.

Agree with coasting to the end of the season, but TFG should be sounding out their managerial choices now. The new manager should be ready to step in and take the reins after the last day if the season.
Not the usual Everton way of sacking a manager with a month left of the transfer window and then being unable to get target players because we don't have a plan in place.
100% if say the top 5-10 managers you want go no then Moyes is here to stay…if however say the 3rd says yes and is available then you have to get them!

I don’t believe if Dyche had rode it out to the summer that they would have gone for Moyes. Moyes was the easiest, cheapest and safest bet
