2025/26 David Moyes

I wouldn't class it as paranoia, as that would surely mean i'm concerned about posters reasonings.

I'm just laying out what I take from from certain posters chat and their history of posts.

It's not exactly beyond the realms of possibility that people have a different agenda hidden behind a supposedly optimistic view..

Europe would be a great achievement, but we dont even have a solid starting 11. The window will be/should be, prioritising key areas in that starting 11, not prioritising squad depth.

Each person would love a taste of European football, but maybe not all for the same reason..
But without any European football its harder to attract players that will improve your squad and keep the better ones you have.

Not at all, a fair request. Thanks for outing yourself as a Moyes hater though!
Is someone keeping a list? I choose not to use the word hate very much. Ive met Moyes in a pub, nice bloke. Hes had some good times at Everton both before and now, hes also had some bad nights...i dont hate him, I just dont see the need for the future of Everton to be tied to David Moyes forever, like he's some Howard Kendall or Arsene Wenger. If the time is right and the owners perceive there is a better option out there, i wont be upset, thats all...not hatred.

Was just a joke man, relax.

Arsene Whinger went on far too long at Arsenal and should of been let go a good few years before he did. Loyalty to previous successes can be seriously limiting to a clubs future as a football club needs to be always planning ahead. Moyes has done well I think most of us would agree but he's not part of us planning ahead as he's older now and he probably would admit he's keeping the seat warm for the next manager. I imagine he'll see out his contract unless the Friedkins have their next manager already in place theoretically and if that manager becomes available or another club shows interest in that manager then the Friedkins may make the change in the summer despite it seeming harsh on Moyes

If he gets us into Europe.... Why in the hell would they look to change things?? He's already improved us, even without Europe. May get us higher than Ancelotti, Dyce, Koeman, Silva, Benitez, Alerdyce. The only manager that really pushed us on..... For one season !!!! was Martinez. I wouldn't want him back here, well, maybe for 1 season. The friekins, I think will be overjoyed with the progress made so far. We've not been a club regularly in europe since...err... David Moyes's first stint.

Jakey boy is our best right back.
Armstrong agreed but Dibling isn't trusted to start, particularly away from home.
KDH better deeper but not crazy to play him as the 10 because he's probably our best 10.

You're acting like we have a balanced squad with good players available for every position. We don't.

For all the bile you post about others.

This is your opinion?

LOL

If he gets europe he'll stay.

Then the young players and those others he should be playing will get games in europe.

We really need Europe or a new manager.

My position too.

If he gets us conference league - even if we luck into it a bit - they have to give him the shot at it really, and I'd be very happy with doing so.

If not I'd say he's done his job at stabilising and we look to see if we can get a long term upgrade.

Would you give him a contract extension?

Europe or no Europe Moyes will be going nowhere and rightly so.

We've made significant progress in the time he's been here and are back to being a credible club again. The owners will acknowledge that and be delighted with how he's done so far.
