2025/26 David Moyes

That is not a question that I would be interested in finding out the answer to. For the simple reason Dyche played absolutely shocking football and I was glad when he left. Also let's be absolutely clear I'm not arguing that Dyche is a better manager than Moyes, I don't think he is. I just don't think Moyes is that good either.

Do you think Moyes has over or underperformed as Everton manager

Your grasping at straws. Are you seriously trying to argue that Dyche couldn't have done a better job if he'd of had £74 million to spend, let alone a positive spend of plus £120 million?
Only alcaraz was added when Moyes took over from Dyche and the difference in results was chalk and cheese. Basically same team but Moyes was far superior. Dyche is not a very good manager and proof is in the pudding when Moyes took the very same team and progressed.

Really? It still doesn't change the fact that Dyche was operating under a completely different set of financial circumstances to the ones that Moyes is operating in and that is a valid point to make. Dyche also got 49 points with a massive negative net spend. Personally I don't give a monkey's about Dyche, I think he's a pretty average manager and I'm glad he's not managing us anymore. But he was still massively financially constrained in how he could manage us. That's just a simple statement of fact.

But thats blown out the water by the fact Moyes pulled the same set of players away from the relegation zone immediately. No financial circumstances were involved. Exact same squad.
If you want to continue the financial thing. Why hasnt he pulled that heavily invested Forest Squad away from relegation. Theres no financial constraints there.

There's plenty who wouldn't have taken it if you'd have told them the man behind it is David Moyes.

They hate him that much for hurting their feelings the first time he left.
What's mad is I am one of those fans who was glad when he left the first time and was amused by his various failings at Utd, Sunderland etc.

But it's just common sense that the club comes first, and he seems to have mellowed/been humbled from his first spell somewhat.

We're a team in transition from a relegation scrapper to a top half side again. He won't be here in 2 years time, and we will be all the better for having a stable side to build off rather than the mess we have been recently.

You're completely correct. I for one thought he was doing as good a job as he could do in the circumstances. But then Moyes came in and completely blew that theory out of the water.
I think we have to factor in that effectively he was a dead man walking in that last season. The players knew he was going, he knew he was going. This is never a good scenario. It even affected Man United when Alex Ferguson announced his retirement early on in the season. I think it affected Liverpool when Klopp did the same thing and I'm pretty sure the same thing happened to us with Ancelotti. Don't get me wrong I think Moyes is the better manager of the two.

I'm going to find a brick wall to bang my head against. It'll be less painful than reading your posts.

Who do you think is good? Moyes did incredibly well with us in his first spell.
Generally managers who have a track record of consistently over performing with the clubs they manage. I don't think Moyes fits into that category. Moyes is a solid above average manager who knows how to organise a team and makes them hard to beat.

Now comparing Dyche to Klopp
