2025/26 David Moyes

Royle is 10x the manager

Silva lost Gana whose replacement was Gbamin. Then had noone who could tackle in midfield and was sacked. He should have been the long term manager.

Ancelotti set up the team structure levels above what Moyes has ever done.

Theyre just 3 off the top of my head.
I agree about Royce, Silva s overrated. None of his teams have ever be able to defend. Ancelotti, yeah obviously.

If suspect unless it’s a high margin win, he’ll be getting it either way…..
A battling 1:0 victory against these isn’t going to be very convincing against a team with 6 points and a -26 goal difference.
1 win, 3 draws and 16 losses for the record.
Probably not, but we have some of our best players missing so a win anyway is fine by me. It is far from perfect, but it is a lot better than what we have had for the past 4/5 years. It won't change overnight, but it is getting better slowly.

When was the last time they got battered? They’ve just been to Anfield, the Emirates and Old Trafford and haven’t lost heavily in any of them. Of course we’re not going to batter them, why would we? It’ll be a tough game but I’d think we still should win.

You want me to explain why Royle, Silva & Ancelotti have been superior managers to David Moyes?

Cant be serious.
So they all did a superior job at Everton than Moyes has? Silva was abysmal and Ancelotti wasn’t much better at Everton given the squads they were afforded compared to the two states Moyes has picked us up.

Can you explain the logic that Moyes picking Everton up relegation threatened in March 2002 and leaving us 6th on 65 points after half a decade of top 7 finishes, is a worse job (by “A LONG SHOT” according to you) than Ancelotti picking us up in 12th and leaving us 11th and silva taking over a team that finished 8th and leaving us 14th until Ferguson steadied the ship ahead of Ancelotti’s arrival.

Keep it nice but please explain why they did better jobs AT EVERTON than Moyes did.

I’ll wait.

A win in their last match in addition to a very unlucky loss at Anfield and a draw at Man United in their last three games says differently.

I'll be fine with a 1-0 win.

That’s generous, Silva left us 19th.

Won a trophy and played much better football, for the most part Moyes has played, defensive boring football

The football we played under Royle is what I want to see every week.

I agree about Royce, Silva s overrated. None of his teams have ever be able to defend. Ancelotti, yeah obviously.

With both Gana & Palhinha Silva was able to play.

Removing them at critical points was a massive hinderence to his setup and defensive structure.

Moyes did a good job last season with the style of play and the goodwill of supporters who had been watching Dycheball.

This season he has changed the style of play and reverted to type.

Silva had done well when he had a tackler in midfield. This was removed.

Ancelotti had a great first half of the season which then dropped down once his chosen players became injured and there was no money for reinforcements.

One thing is very much certain regarding Everton fans' opinion about Moyes: Half of you settled on an opinion on him based on some kind of feeling you had about what he was like sometime around 2009, and you've stuck with it ever since.

The amount of weird, unfounded opinions about his ability as a manager is absolutely staggering.

what is your “feeling” about tonight’s game? Do you “feel” he will play an unfit Keane at CB again to the detriment of the team? Do you “feel” that after yet another horror show from McNeil he will get more game time yet again?
