Dave has been doing a decent job overall in the 1st half of season.
I actually posted a note about this in the match thread. You know Moyes prefers to stick with his "First" XI as well as i do. Keane is a nailed on starter, McNeil is awful and should never play at 10 again but there's a pretty damn big chance he starts there again.what is your “feeling” about tonight’s game? Do you “feel” he will play an unfit Keane at CB again to the detriment of the team? Do you “feel” that after yet another horror show from McNeil he will get more game time again?
Moyes pretty much had to sell his best players year on year, with barely any funds to replace them, and he still constantly delivered. With both Gana & Palhinha Silva was able to play.
Removing them at critical points was a massive hinderence to his setup and defensive structure.
So is that a “feeling” or “unfounded opinion” on your part? Or is it a learned deduction through years of experience of watching Moyes manage teams?I actually posted a note about this in the match thread. I asked why they were better for Everton “by a long shot” than Moyes. And you’ve just made excuses for the other two with offering any reasoningThe football we played under Royle is what I want to see every week.

Moyes did a good job last season with the style of play and the goodwill of supporters who had been watching Dycheball.
This season he has changed the style of play and reverted to type.
Silva had done well when he had a tackler in midfield. This was removed.
Ancelotti had a great first half of the season which then dropped down once his chosen players became injured and there was no money for reinforcements.
So he did do a very good job then? Is that what you’re saying? For the most part I said. After 10yrs to build a team, he wouldn’t be doing very good job if the team hadn’t improved from a playing perspective. But leopards don’t change their spots, Moyes will always be over cautious

When was the last time they got battered? They’ve just been to Anfield, the Emirates and Old Trafford and haven’t lost heavily in any of them. Of course we’re not going to batter them, why would we? It’ll be a tough game but I’d think we still should win.

They're on 6 points having lost 16 games of 20, conceding 40 goals.
I read they're currently the worst Premier League team ever - after 20 games, even Derby County in 2007/08 had more.
We host them at home in an evening kick off - I'm personally very confident. We should beat them, and I think we will.
Still not explaining. I never once asked who was the better manager overall I asked who was the best manager for Everton. You said it wasn’t Moyes “by a long shot” and that I was on crack. Ive offered a reasoned explanation as to why I think Moyes has done better for Everton that Silva & Ancelotti and all you’ve told me they lost a certain player which affected them. You know you’re wrong and until you explain why they do a better job at Everton you’ll continue to be wrong"Excuses" being removing the fundamental parts of their team.
If you think Moyes is the best manager over Ancelotti, Silva & Royle then good luck to you.
Are you talking about 2009? I think only Arteta was out who would otherwise have started? Or am I missing someone?Just checking, does Moyes get any asterisks from you for going into an FA Cup final with the spine of his team injured?

My bad. Forgot about them. Although I'd argue Arteta was the big miss there.Yeah just Jagielka and Yakubu too.
