Looking back Silva was unlucky with zouma and not getting a decent replacement and if memory serves me we seem to spend too much time on getting giroud only for his wife to say no to the move
But after the Derby defeat he was cooked
He was cooked before that, if you’re talking about the 5-2 derby defeat. He’d lost 3 on the bounce prior to that, we’d not lost 4 on the bounce since Martinez over Christmas 13/14 prior to that. The only reason he took that game was because the club didn’t want to give a new manager that with 3 days notice after we’d lost to Leicester 4 days before and a few days prior to that we lost 2-0 at home to Norwich

More like a stupidity thing.
This is professional level sport, its about winning things. Making up the numbers is not an option at this level. Even when you win you should still be looking to see if there are areas where you can improve. If you just want to jump onboard for the ride and clap hands then you are probably better off watching non league football.

I gave it 5. It's moved up from 2 or 3 for the past few years. We'd need 2 new good full backs and a good striker plus another direct winger before I'd move up to a 6 or 7.
